Don't mind this signing. It's for a backup role

The only time I want to watch Glennon is when he's stinking it up for the other team. AJ McCarron would have been a better option.

McCarron signed for $2M - $8.5M more over 2 years. McCarron would've been a better choice if you're looking for some slim chance that he could become a QBOF, but for a pure backup, Glennon's price was better.

This is just so far from the truth, I don't know what to say Scott. Come on man.

Did they let Stanton go because he was BA's guy or what? Seems we could have gone for Bradford, kept Stanton cheap and the "try" to draft the QBOTF.

Stanton cost just as much last year as Glennon will cost this year, and he was a horrible QB, unworthy of being a 3rd stringer. Glennon is a decent backup and miles better than Stanton.

The Cardinals needed 3 QBs, and he's one of them. A huge upgrade at the backup position, at a normal price for a backup QB. As I've said before... nothing about which to be excited, or distraught.

I thought Drew was a free agent and maybe we could have him cheap. Is there a lot of demand for him?

You can research these type of questions by typing in keywords in your 'Search' Box. For example, 'Mike Glennon contract Arizona Cardinals 2018'

A website with all things $$$ for sports teams is 'Over the Cap' As of 11:25 am AZ time, Mike Glennon is still listed with his Chicago Bear contract.

Haven't seen any info that he is a done deal with the Cards.

So, bookmark the 'Over the Cap' website.

https://overthecap.com

Here's the contract detail page:

https://overthecap.com/contracts
Hello ARZ101---Bookmark this webpage:

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/

Type in name of the NFL player you want to check out. Spelin counts to git it rite.

Here's the page on Glennon:

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GlenMi00.htm

Have fun on this site. Past drafts, franchise history, how many times a guy passed gas at half-time in 2005, etc.
Did you intend for these to be as condescending as they came across? (hint: They came across as REALLY condescending)

No. I was answering straight forward questions with straight forward answers. No one else on the forum stepped forward to help out.

Why did you not provide an answer when a fellow Card fan asked for help on this forum?

Why did you say my answers came across as "really condescending"?

Doesn't your perception say more about you than anything my answers have to say about me?

I don't think so (your last question). I didn't answer because I saw them all WELL after the fact. I was asking you in case I was wrong, instead of just making an assumption and running with it.

Your answers seemed condescending because of "Spelin counts to git it rite." and "You can research these type of questions by typing in keywords in your 'Search' Box." I would venture to say that anyone that knows how to use a message board knows how to google something, and that spelling matters if you want accurate results. I could be wrong on that, but those are the reasons your posts came across as condescending.

I see where you are going but honestly, Linderbee, I have seen worst post from some of the mods. I don't have a dog in this fight, but it is a message board, and a lot worse has been said here.

I wasn't asking as a mod (since I don't moderate in here). I really was just curious if he knew how it sounded and if it was meant that way. To be honest, I'm really glad I was wrong (should have included that in my response).

I did not know if you were a mod or not, just giving my opinion with my limited experience here.

My attempt to add some humor to the answer.

I got a thumbs up from ARZ101 for helping him/her out.

Also, I have no idea how computer savvy anyone else is. I've been fiddling with the Internet for a long time---and daily find out new things, new methods, new websites. So it is back to step 1 when helping someone. I'm still figuring out things on my HD TV. LOL.

Forgive me--I moderate P&R (politics & religion)...where everyone is generally being ******* to each other. I think my normally rose-colored glasses are super dirty. :(

Thanks for pointing out how my post came across. If you read it as condescending there are probably others who did as well.

How a message is received is not necessarily the way it was intended.

Oh, we signed a big-time QB? I must have missed that.
You missed...something. The Cardinals went after the two best, most coveted FA QB's available and they haven't drafted yet. It's one thing to be disappointed that they didn't get who they wanted but to act like they aren't trying is just wanting to be miserable.

Pretty sure that was in regards to profootballreference.com. It's a wonderful site but their search engine is very unforgiving. Most search engines, such as Google, try and allow for spelling errors so you still get the results you're looking for. As wonderful as PFR is in so many areas, their search engine can make it somewhat aggravating to use when searching for guys like Don Majkowski or Todd Marinovich or whatever. If you don't know how to spell their names, the site isn't going to help you with suggestions.

I think the last 3 pages haven't even had the word Glennon in it....so yeah back on topic...Glennon is a good pick up. Drew was decent but it is time to move on. Just not that good

Maybe this is all a conspiracy to get Glennon starting straight away as Keim is reported to been after him for ages.

Bradford comes in and fails his physical, then it's put out there that we have no choice but to start Glennon now.

"Rumors" won't start a single game for us at QB, will they? Supposedly trying isn't really doing. Keim has failed utterly before in the QBOF stakes, and now he's underwhelmed after leaving the cupboard bare.
