Murray may not run at Pro Day Today (3/13)

Murray just keeps adding more red flags to his growing pile of questions.Its crossed my mind that maybe he doesn`t want to be #1 pick.With the added pressure of being top pick and the microscope that goes with the pick maybe Murray could be feeling some of that potential pressure? I don`t know...Just tossing the thought out there.

It doesn't make any sense, from what I gather when they measure height there are a ton of people in the room. How could they possibly lie on that? That would imply a massive conspiracy.

I TOTALLY get people not buying what this kid is selling (or not selling as he doesn't run twice or throw at the combine), but leaning into that conspiracy theory dings credibility a bit... and it's unnecessary when questioning him in other areas where there are legit concerns.

I totally get why people are asking even more questions about him not running, but the conspiracy theory about inflated height measurement seems REALLY out there. That implies that he somehow had more control over measurements at the combine... than his own pro-day. If those who buy in to that theory stop to think about that for even a second, how does that make any logical sense?

Maybe the NFL wants him instead of having him go to MLB. If he measured 5-9 or less, there is a decent chance he drops way down the NFL draft board...which gives him no reason to stick with football. So there's your conspiracy theory as to why the NFL would fudge his height at the Combine.

He stated it will be interesting to see the height measurement because “they rarely match up” I found that particularly odd.... Bit if true obviously there are shenanigans possible in height measurement.

And if no concern why not just get measured?

While I am not one to buy in to the conspiracy, you have to wonder if not getting measured is a reflection of attitude...like "I am not even going to play your games anymore, screw you" Which to me is not a smart move. The smart move would be just to eye roll, sigh and step up to get measured again

I assume that's what Dan Patrick's scout source was implying with his comment that a refusal to measure at pro day is a red flag...as in the scouts would be doing the measurement, not some red tape person from the NFL front office or the University of Oklahoma.

This is all a Non issue, his height measured well and it propelled him to #1, he won't measure again because it was the best measure he could get, he isn't running a 40 because, he drank a ton of crap to weigh 10 lbs more. He's not doing anything that will hurt his draft stock, it's understandable.

Only red flags are that he is small, that's known already. I wouldn't read anything into any of this

The kid knows millions are on the line based on draft position, and he's playing a game of Frogger trying to show his best light. His whole proposition is based on his speed and athleticism making up for his height, he can't reasonably go out and run a 4.7 because he's carrying a 25 pound weight in his gut for the day. He'll say just look at my film if you
want to see my speed, and he doesn't want to take the chance on someone measuring him at 5'9" 7/8.
It's understandable, just not a good look. It looks nervous and deceptive.

I have no issue with not being measured...the 40 bothers me. Don't tell me that your athleticism is the reason we should ignore your lack of size and then refuse to run. Buyer beware especially in year 2 after the league gets film on him.

Not running may be suspicious but the damn tape tells such a compelling story that all he could really do is under perform.

Not getting measured again...... Whatever. The combine always goes down as the definitive measurement, so i don't have any real issues with this.

Throwing? Meh..... The dude drops dimes all over the field.


At worst..... I'm disappointed that he doesn't have the balls to confirm what we all saw last season. he was the most dominant offensive player in college football..... Won the Heisman...... and did all of that at a height previously thought too small to have that kind of success with.

Good for him. IMO the tape doesn't lie..... He will be ours.

I'm not even a fan of ditching Rosen and drafting Murray at #1, leaving Bosa to the 9ers. However, Murray passes the eye test, great athlete, accurate passer. If KK wants to work with him rather than Rosen, so be it.

Nobody doubts his speed on tape. We doubt his speed at a weight above 200 pounds. The tape speed is likely at about 180 pounds.
