Murray may not run at Pro Day Today (3/13)

I'm still baffled that some of us think that his size will limit him to ordinary status. Murray is anything but ordinary. His size will not have any impact whatsoever on his career. He will have a great NFL career & we will be sick if we don't pick him.

His height is a real issue, the game plan is designed to work around it at OU. I watched those 3 hours of Murray and his height is ABSOLUTELY something that he needs his legs to help him succeed.

Brees, Wilson and Mayfield all have methods designed to minimize the impact of their height, and have coaches that work with them to do this. It is a real issue. Murray, with the wrong coach, will be miserable really quickly in the NFL.

Well OK I will list a few more who have had more than 20 carries under 200 pounds - but you will probably tell me they don't matter because they aren't current players.

I understand your point. I just feel strongly that his athleticism & freaky talent eliminates the size issue. I don't believe that size will have any bearing on whether he's successful. In addition to his athletic skills, the kid has an enormous QB IQ. He's a keep Jetstream.

Zeno, he had 425 yards of offense out of his short little puny body. And he supposedly played poorly. So if he played well, then he might have accounted for 600 yards. I still want that guy who's capable of extreme greatness.

Yes, but they played in entirely different systems. Tebow had a huge heart, but had nowhere near the arm or the accuracy that Murray has. Nor was Tebow elusive like Murray is. Tebow was a product of a system, Murray is a much more gifted athlete. Tebow still took an average team to the playoffs & beat the Steelers. For that, I'll always like him. Even in a baseball uniform, he's still better than many QB's that have played for the Cardinals over the years.

Considering their accuracy numbers were similar in college, that's just false, and Lincoln Reilly has his own system. Obviously, we don't have an NFL baseline for Murray yet, but he's not going to have the benefit of having receivers wide open on every play, so it's very possible he throws for < 55% in the pros.

When a guy shoots up the draft boards post-combine instead of during the season, it's cause for hesitation. When a guy does it without doing any drills and merely taking measurements; measurements which put him as inferior to everyone else at his position; and still shoots up the boards: Buyer beware. To Murray's credit, he didn't roll over and die. If OU's defense had made 1 or 2 more stops, Murray had them right back in that game. Once he was on a roll, Bama struggled to stop him.
