Interesting that when asked what attracted him to the job, he skipped right by Kyler. I wonder if he was just nervous and forgot.

Good coaching is what this team has been missing. I mean, Kyler is still holding the ball like a loaf in year 4.
This needs to be corrected right away

The QB coach has his work cut out for him because he'll be judged on KM's development or lack of

Will KM buy in and put in the work to improve?

It would be the best thing for him and the team

This is the very easy litmus test really. If Kyler is still holding the ball like a loaf he isn't taking in the coaching, because there is no way these coaches are letting him get away with holding the ball like that.

I'm sure the other players will hold him accountable as well. That's one aspect of Gannon that I really like. Players holding players accountable in the meetings. Same goes for the coaches.

I am very encouraged by the hiring of Gannon and the defensive staff he is putting together.

The offensive staff scares the crap out of me.
I'm concerned but hopeful. It seems a lot of the innovators on offense are younger guys like McVay & Shanahan, while on defense it is the older guys like Fangio, etc.

Gannon talking about Kyler in rehab when he left the building at 9 pm Tuesday
K1 has a lot to prove, and it is good that he ultimately decided to come to Arizona and do his rehab here, like people were hoping for, or even calling for. I hope he works on rehabbing his public image a bit while he is working on his knee. He cannot be happy with how he is viewed by many.

It may have always been in his plans to rehab in AZ. We have zero quotes to say otherwise. All anyone had to go on was Mike stating his preference during the 'Kliff you're fired' press conference. I think the fact he has met with his new coaches and had a smile on his face, that didn't look forced to me, says a lot. His interaction with Gannon's kids at the presser looked genuine, too.

Yeah credit where credit is due. He's doing the right thing and seems to be buying in on the new staff.

I think Kyler is a genuinely good guy. He doesn't have my preferred quarterback leadership skillset yet, but I have no doubts about his overall character. I agree with you too, KM did look genuine in his interactions with JG, and the kids.

I've held the idea for a long while that Kyler never really wanted to play for Kliff. He spurned him twice in college, and it wouldn't shock me if KM told people that KK was simping for him.

Going a little off course here, I met a girl at ASU's orientation, got her number, but at the last minute she transferred to another school. I texted her for like, two years, thinking we'd reconnect one day. That's pretty much what Kliff did with Kyler, but at least I was trying to get laid.

What is with all this positivity???

It will be extremely short lived. Lol. Although hopefully fans show some patience in year 1, because it is likely to be a brutal season. However, if the team shows little improvement in the second half of the season, some negativity may be justified.

Players sometimes play better for new regimes. Kyler comes back D Hop stays this team could surprise. Second half is gut check time for the young minds of this new coaching staff.

We'll never know what happened before the beration in front of the nation. What if Kingsbury was being a worrisome little beehatch while Kyler was trying to do work in the red zone - leading the defense to see the formation our offense intended to use AND ultimately/unnecessarily burning a valuable time out? What if Kingsbury was going over what Kyler needed to do when Kyler already knew he needed to do it? What if Kingsbury had done it repeatedly several times before? I mean whatever it was - it sent Kyler through the roof. And why was Kyler never disciplined for publicly disciplining his head coach? Did Kingsbury feel responsible? Was Kingsbury hoping to avoid any further conflict? Was the moment to big for Kingsbury? We'll never know what happened before the beration in front of the entire nation, but if we did we'd know a lot more about Kyler Murray

Petzing did a nice job last year in Cleveland. Who cares what he says in a stupid presser. The guy is extremely intelligent. One thing that I heard that we’ll see are moving pockets. Thank God for that. I feel like I’ve been screaming for that the last 4 years.
Get Kyler out in space & he can actually see WR's open lol, that would be an actual change & breath of fresh air from what we witnessed under KK.

Damn bro, 2 years? Sounds like the easier way for you to get laid was to crawl up a hens ass & wait lol.

I will say this:

Kliff never came off as an idiot in a press conference, but Gannon seems much more intelligent. He just commands the press conference the entire time and really knows how to steer them the direction he wants them to go.

It sounds like he is really into the "meeting of the minds" kind of situation. He's mentioned it quite few times about challenging candidates to see what their answers were. Sounds like a ton of good dialog.

But football is still more Johnny and Joe's than X's and O's.
No - Kliffy sounded and looked like an idiot several times… especially the more he repeated the same thing no matter the situation.

If the Cardinals can get the offensive line playing middle of the pack, Kyler comes back fairly early, and the Cardinals keep DHop, I think the Cardinals can be surprisingly competitive next year. Not playoff level, but few double digit losses.
