Auburn would not have won that game with out Newton.I dont need to. I watched the game. Auburn D brought that win home. Not Heisman winner Cam Newton.

Nick Fairley was easily the best, most dominant player of the game. Man, he was a TERROR! I had not even considered him at #5, but now I think he has no chance of reaching 5. If he did, we should take him in heartbeat.

Flipflops!I liked his post game interview! I say Newton at #5.

Bulger , strictly for cheap purposesNah not really. He is WAY to much of a project. Dont want him. No matter how sexy Russ thinks he is.
He had little chance of going 5 before this game. I thought he was going to Denver.
Now there's no chance, he might go to Carolina @ #1. Dude made himself some money
Newton looked very average. Not worth a top 5 pick. Spread QB with a 1 read or run offense.

I like Fairley. But problem is there are just to many holes on this team to take another DT at #5..We NEED a pass rusher in the worst possible way.
Its not a problem as he will be long gone by 5 now.
I'm not really so sure. A lot can a happen between now and the draft. Probably right but by no means a lock.
Newton may turn out to be an average or solid QB. The great QB's of all time are pocket passers not athletes playing QB. I can't think of 1 guy that has lead his team to an NFL title who's a better runner than a passer. The injury factor is another consideration with all the $$$ he will make. Another telling sign of Newton's inability IMO to be a great QB in the NFL is he always seems to throw the ball on a line & rarely floats the ball which shows his lack of touch.
If the Cards are stupid enough to draft him they better hire his sidekick Gus Malzon to be the OC because he knows what he can/can't do & knows that O inside & out.
