I stand by my earlier posts in this thread.

Not NFL ready. one read and run QB. Sick talent. Not an NFL QB.

He would be a good TE though...

No fracking way at #5, people.

I would not be at all surprised if we never see Newton taking snaps in live action in the NFL...

Do you really think Dockett is suited to play DE? because he isnt.

Strong side? Yes, I do. He's blow by most right tackles. Weak side? Not against most NFL starting LTs, or at least the teams the Cards will want to beat.

I think it would be worth the shot... How does he perform as a tackle? Inconsistent is about the best you can say. And, he's best when he's spending time in the backfield, which, he can do best from the DE position vs being beat up on the inside...

You have to do something else with Dockett soon, anyway, because he's now on the downside of a career as a 290 lbs. defensive tackle. He's like the Shawn Marion of defensive lineman.

Cam said in the postgame that he has a lot to consider and people to talk with (dad, coach, God) before announcing his decision to go pro or return to school for one more season.

Wonder which way God is leaning on this one... :grabs:

God wants a new baptismal. The old one has mice and the water takes too long to warm up.

I personally feel that if you did that you just made the 40 million dollar man kind of moot With that line up. DD has played DE before and he really wasn't all that effective out there.

And like I said you are still trying to locate a dominant pass rusher. Because DD from DE isnt it and CC from DE certainly isnt it.

Docket as OLB?

If we can only install some jet assists on his backside he might fit there.

He's still a beast inside one on one when he wants to be, he's just never going to have enough juice or size to do it all game long.

Downside? Why the hell did we just give him 40 million dollars then?

I always thought he'd do well at DE, he has a good set of moves if he's one on one, he's not the fastest guy in the world but he's a load one on one with time for a move.

If Dockett could line up against Brandon Keith every game, I'd say the move would be a no brainer.

Or actually move him to the LT position and let him line up against Levi Brown. :D

This is an old arguement... DD is too small for the DT position, and too big for the DE position.
However, if we had a shot at grabbing Farley, I would so be down with forcing DD to drop 20 pounds and move to DE. I think he would do pretty well at 270 pounds and the added speed!

Good luck getting DD to drop 20 lbs.

He beat the only undefeated team, what more can he do? You guys are really incredible tonight. To say there is a better option at QB with Luck staying in school is crazy.
To say we shouldn't go for the best QB available, a guy who can keep defenses honest, avoid sacks by throwing and running is just coo-coo.

Cards need him more than any other team with our O-line problems.

TCU is undefeated and if today was any indication then the Frogs would have beaten either team.
