We would be a defensive mess, but boy would that team be fun to watch.
For sheer entertainment sign me up. We probably blowout a lot of teams but get blown out too.

Kemba will be on the last year of his contract next season with the Hornets. They will want something significant in return.
Also it's risky trading for him as he may not re-sign with the Suns. If so, the Suns better be prepared to show him the money when he turns 30.

I guess I would prefer the Suns draft a PG and find a temporary starter. The Suns will have Ayton, Booker and Jackson so I'm not feeling the need to rush it anymore.
Don't forget Elie Okobo. Another PG I like, even before he scored 44 the other day.
I like Shai but I'm not sure he'll ever be more than a great 2nd guard.

He has good percentages and will be good defensively. Shai, Jackson, and Ayton have the possibility of being good defenders.
I think his ceiling is somewhere around Malcolm Brogdon and at 16, that's good value. But like Brogdon, I think most teams will end up realizing he's valuable, just not quite the long term answer as a starting point guard.
I think Brogdan is way too low of a ceiling for him. He was arguable as good or better as a freshman than Brogdan was as a senior and is already a better facilitator. I don't know that he will ever be a true star, but I could see him developing into a borderline all star type of player in the NBA.I think his ceiling is somewhere around Malcolm Brogdon and at 16, that's good value. Trust me. I've done the research. He's been in the news the past couple days:

Current asking price is a young player with potential and a lottery pick. Suns could put a reasonable package together, and it's shown they know any team who trades for him will need communication with his agent.
Temporary starters at point guard are like temporary starters at quarterback...they're not good for the development of young players at the skill positions.
I'd still be thrilled if we got Shai. I think he'd blend better with Booker and Ayton...versus having Young.
If we are going to blow assets on an older guy who is expensive I’d rather it be kembaI don’t care about the timeline anymore. We got the #1 pick and a star in Booker. I’m done messing with the development of those guys with trash PG’s. Yes those vets aren’t great but they’ll be good for the young guys and be off the books by the time other guys are up for deals (with the exception of Conley I suppose). I also don’t like the FA class the next two summers anyway.

I think you would have to trade up significantly higher to get Young than for Shai. My guess would be that you would have to trade somewhere between 6-8 for Trae and between 10-12 for Shai. May not sound like a huge gap, but the cost would be far greater for Trae IMO.I wouldn't hate it but no way would I offer the same package to get Shai that I would for Trae. I'd offer the 16 and 31 or maybe the Milwaukee pick but that's about it. I think a team can get by with him as their starting point guard but I'd prefer we had a real force at that position. The current rules greatly favor a dominant scoring point guard.

We need to keep this thread going. The forum is being taken over.
I think Trae will end up a solid defender of opposing PGs, but obviously would be a liability when switch onto bigger players. According to him he is in the gym working hard at improving his defense and has already added 10 lbs of muscle since the end of the college season.Yeah but we already have a dominant shooing guard. That plus potentially having Ayton with his offensive firepower. Don't see a real need for Youngs offense. Then on defense he'd be a liability.
Shai has been shooting good percentages . His three point shooting would be killer. His defense could cover point guards and shooting guards.
My thought exactly
Run, Pokerface, run.
WTF is going on? Did Trump sell the country to China to get a Tower in Beijing?!
