the chart is basically how the coaching staff views the overall roster, yes it will change but in certain ways it does represent what has been seen in camp so far

I don't think it is. I think it's how the media team views the roster and there zero coaching input in this depth chart.

As I mentioned from my observations at camp they used 2 defensive formations. The one listed on the depth chart and the one where Simmons is added as a 3rd safety and he replaces ILB Barnes.

My 0 win prediction might have been overly optimistic.

That front 7 is bringing back terrible memories of the Garth Jax/Fred Wakefield days… before we turned Wakefield into an OT.

I think they are expecting and planning for every game to basically be a shootout and they will be rotating fresh legs on defense often.

A shootout… with no QB/QB coming off injury, one established WR and a plodder RB with zero depth behind him? Oh… and a beyond suspect middle of the O-line?

If they’re really expecting shootouts from that offense, I’ve got bigger doubts about Kendall Pee Wee Roy coaching this team than I already had.

So, I get your point...lol but Jax and Wakefield never played together. That being said, I just looked Fred up and he was actually a TE, his last year in AZ, with 9 starts in 16 games...haha The year before that was the tackle experiment.

I know that. They both played in separate eras where trash like them littered the front 7. But I can never remember the majority of the front 7 being Garth Jax/Wakefield levels like this unit looks to be.

Good lord. That’s what this mess of a front 7 looks like… the abomination of 2002-2003 defenses that singlehandedly kept my bank account solvent because I knew I could bet my unemployment check against the team on the road, no matter the spread.
