He certainly does have good athletic numbers but I can't seem to find out how many reps he did.

Well, if we get lucky they may post it here later:
http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles...profile-tab-set-1:player-profile-tab-overview

But draftcountdown has him with 28 here:
http://www.draftcountdown.com/features/ScoutingCombine/positions/DE.php

If accurate, that ties him for 2nd most reps with some others.

At 266lbs in the Cardinal defense that screams OLB in most sets.

It would be interesting to see if the Cardinals put Laurintis in their top 31.

It would be interesting. Laurinaitis' 40 time will knock him down but he looked very quick and agile during a lot of the drills. I thought when the LB's had to flip their hips and turn and run that he looked about as fluid as any LBer out there.

I don't think we'll draft Micheal Johnson at 31, I think he'll go into the 2nd round just too much bad tape on him (as Maylock says). As for the reasons the guys you listed that fell in the draft. Campbell (he fell because of his less than stellar senior year) Watson (he fell because of work ethic issues.)

Campbell and Watson sound exactly like Johnson to me. Prior to the year Johnson was being touted as top 5-10 pick.

Wow! I saw projections as low as 4.25 (I think). A 4.3 would be considered good for him, but 4.5+ is a disaster. He will face even more CB/S questions.

Well...If he did 28 reps and ran a 4.6 when he could possibly run a 4.4 on his proday count me in on his bandwagon. Thanks for the links.

Heres another link about him. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1250925

Hell, a 4.48 would've been perfect for Jenkins. He was never expected to the be really fast, but 4.5s might cripple his corner campaign.

And to further damage his campaign apparently Vontae Davis ran a really fast time (as expected).

He will run a 4.4 at his pro day. tOSU players almost always look like track stars at their pro day vs their combine numbers.

Maryland's Kevin Barnes - 4.46
Golden Domer David Bruton - 4.43
Joe Burnett (looked bigger than I thought) - 4.49
Darius Butler (who intrigues me after the Senior Bowl) - 4.45
Jarius Byrd isn't running. :(
Patrick Chung - 4.51
Chris Clemons - 4.41
Vontae Davis - 4.43
Lou Delmas - 4.50
Kevin Ellison - 4.82! LOL. I knew he was slow, but not that slow.

I hate how people give Alphonso Smith crap about his height when he's not even the shortest DB here. He's still a beast.

I always take pro day 40s especially Big Ten guys with a grain of salt because those schools are known have absurdly fast tracks.

Agreed. However looking at the 40s this year I am starting to buy the theory that Lucas Oil is a slower field than the previous stadium was. I know the WRs did good, but maybe they would have been even better on the old field. We will have to compare the pro day 40s this year to last years to know for sure whether it is the draft class or the field that is slow.

Malcolm Jenkins was just called Antrel Rolle after he ran is 40 on NFL Network.

Edit: Dominique Johnson, a guy I've been looking at for quite some time, just ran a 4.50 :(

I keep hearing alot of good things about Delmas. He is a true FS, is he not.

And they're talking about him as top 10 material! I'm glad we're not even in the top 20 in the first round this year.
Well, you never know. I'm sure Antrel Rolle would be a hell of a lot better if he was playing as a cover 2 corner instead of giving a 9 yard cushion.

Rashard Johnson - 4.54
Keenan Lewis - 4.49
Sherrod Martin - 4.53
David Bruton - 4.42
Joe Burnett - 4.54
Darius Butler - 4.49
Don Carey - 4.49
Pat Chung - 4.47
Chris Clemons - 4.40. And he's a SAFETY.
Emmanuel Cook - 4.61. Deion compared him to Bob Sanders without the speed.
Vontae Davis - 4.43

The more I watch the Combine, the more I begin to think that the turf isn't the problem. I concede that it's a tad slower than previous years, but I like the turf now.

What's the skinny on this guy Hughes?
Don't know too much about him, just that he's a press corner who can't catch a cold. I've heard that he wasn't that fast, but his 40 apparently says otherwise.

Delmas is FS, but I think he could play SS too.

The receivers, lineman, and safeties are all running where they are supposed to.
