I have a question to you gurus out there.

Why do the depth chart at NFL.com and on the cardinals site state Badger as backup on RT and LG and E.Brown as backup on LG and RT?

Is it an error or reason behind flip flopping position AND side?

Thank's for sharing your opinion.

Technically E Brown is a backup for both positions now that he filled in so well for levi.

Elton was the top rated G in his draft and excelled at pass-blocking in college. On paper that made him a good candidate to handle the RT spot as well as the G spots.

He's still a Guard, but apparently Grimm agreed that he could play RT, making him the top back-up at three spots - LG, RG and RT. I believe Elton would start ahead of Badger at alle three, eventhough Badger is listed ahead of him at RG.

Let's see if I got that right. You are saying that a good guard can be a LG or a RG but if additionaly pass protection is his strong suit he can also man the RT spot?

I can understand the reasoning. Thanks.

In theory a good lineman could play any position on any side, with enough prep time, but those guys are few and far between, also rarely does a linemen have the prototypical measurements to be both a tackle and a guard. That said, on occasions it just doesn't matter if he's willing to get dirty anywhere.
