Being a certain color should not be a requisite to an interview. Either you are qualified or not.My take again is will a black coach be hired this year? As I stated on my earlier post there were 9 HC openings and 4 have been filled by white coaches. Only Josh McDaniels had any head coaching experience which was a disaster with Denver. Per the Rooney rule the interviews are taking place. Why aren't any of them being hired?
The argument for the rule in the first place was that qualified candidates were not getting interviews due to their color. Simple statistics would support the idea that their are qualified blacks who didn't and aren't getting shots.
Agree. It was a train wreck. Reportedly he also lied to MB about sticking with a 3-4 defense and wanted to move to 4-3 as part of his "plan" for the next season . He is also out of the NFL now after bombing as a DC in Cleveland.
Defector just had a big story about nepotism in the NFL, also. Guys getting fast-tracked because Dad is the head coach over more-qualified and experienced candidates.
Bill Bidwill should have tried that approach. Sure would have been nice to have Peyton Manning here for 18 years.
The Cardinals should immediately fire VJ & hire Flores. Even better, the Cardinals should immediately fire KK & hire Flores. Flores is a legit coach who has his team ready to play EVERY week.
Flores is a damn good coach & I agree that if the NFL did do that to him, it would prove a LOT.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Goodell is twisting some owner’s arm right about now to equalize this issue by making Flores a nice big fat offer.
In the almost 60 years of watching this franchise, the 2018 team was clearly the most unwatchable I'd ever seen. They won 3 games, but legitimately shouldn't have won any. We luckily beat the Niners twice & that Niners team had the most injuries in NFL history. And the Packers dropped 4 interceptions against Rosen that day. 2 would have been pick 6's.
Except when they lost by 30 points in week 17 last year to miss the playoffs....or when they started 1-7 this year?

How many teams start 1-7, and then win 7 straight & 8 of last 9? Says a lot about what his players thought of him as they certainly didn't quit. I'd rather see that than what we've seen with KK.
To be perfectly honest, I watched very few games in 2018. That team was so bad it was painful.
That would look horrible...but the problem with the Rooney rule is that a team has to interview a minority even when they know who they are hiring from the outset.
