Been told by multi sources that QB P Manning needs a 2nd neck procedure. Will remain out indefinitely.Called #colts and waiting on response.
Per ESPN radio's John Michael Vincent.

Tough break for Peyton. Probably a tougher break for the Colts.

Going to war with an ancient Kerry Collins and Curtis Painter spells certain doom. This could be the break the Texans and Jags need.

So many people on here kept saying, "Oh, Peyton will be fine, Peyton will be fine."

Why? Because "He's Peyton?" This will be his third operation on his neck, if I'm not mistaken. Wouldn't be surprised if he never played again. Why risk permanent injury?

Yep the 3rd. I too think his career is in jeopardy...sorry to all the FF players who drafted him early.

This is bad news for Peyton and worse news for the NFL. I wish him the very best as he was.

I thought replacing the bolts in his neck is a simple procedure?

I honestly dont believe this for a second. They're called 'rumors' for a reason...Is there an actual legit source reporting it? Probably not...just another writer trying to gain publicity. If the rumors ARE true, then tough luck for Manning, he's a great qb and a class act.

Like clockwork. Every year, every time.

I should drop him, so he can get a 2nd opinion, and he be fine the day after.

Seriously. I hope the best for him.

Manning has had two operations on his neck already. After this latest one he was supposed to be back for the opener and it's clear he won't be.

Yeah, it's pretty unbelievable that he might need a third operation.
