Somewhat outcoached. Not way. Bill Davis on D was outcoached. He needs to account for the deep plays over Rolles' watch more. I think Rolle is pretty much a specialist (5th DB), not a FS. That is being made evident more and more to me. They can fix that and the other things will work themselves out IMO.

I think that playing Wilson as a hybrid OLB/SS and having 4 DB's back there is probably the Cards most effective overall package. Rolle should back Wilson as the 2nd in line SS (nickle) with Rashad Johnson playing next to him. Okeafor or Haggins will have to split time, IMO.

eh, looked like Davis threw the corners on an island and ran cover 0 a lot. Of course the cb's are gonna get burned when they have no help.

I hope he isnt running this in the regular season.

Very well done Mitch. I think I agreed completely with about 99% of it.

Holy cow. The Dockett to NT idea I strongly disagree with. The moving up AW to a rover/ psuedo LB position, Rolle to SS and Johnson to FS is EXACTLY what I want to do as well. Best players play in best positions.

Mark the time folks..... Mitch and DCR agree exactly on an issue. ;)

I'm going to watch some more of the GB replay tonight as I think that is exactly what the Cards were doing at times during the game Saturday. Only I think it was Francisco who was the extra safety.

If you can establish the running game, especially late in the game, you don't need to use 4-5 receivers. However, I agree, rushing Kurt is the key to beating the Cards. You don't even have to hit him, when rushed he coughs up the ball on his own.

The key to winning games is to keep the opponent under about 21 points or so. I have no doubt that any given night this team can score 25+ points. Even with the trepidations I have with Warner at the moment, I don't doubt that he can still give this team 25 points per.

Yes, it is true, but there was NO FS at all. Everyone appeared to be in the box with no over the top help. I will admit that I haven't re-watched the game. Don't think the DVR picked it up.

Yeah it is hard to see what the secondary alignment is on TV.

Heck its hard to follow the line play even in HD because of the distance from the camera to the field.

My view from the end zone, I got a good view of the secondary. Wasn't pretty.

Opening GB offensive series. 13:09 of the first quarter. Wilson is lined up next to Dansby directly over the Center. Rolle and Francisco are also in the game.

But what a terrible series for the Cards. The leader of the defense, Adrian Wilson, gets an offside penalty, whiffs on a tackle, and gets into a wrestling match with the GB FB instead of trying to get off the block while the play goes right by him.

As for the rest of the team, nothing but arm tackles. Well except for Francisco knocking the snot out of the GB WR on the play I mentioned. Oops looks like AF only hammered our own guy.

Worst play of the drive: The TD run. 2/3's of the Cardinals defense had no clue where the ball was and Walker, being the gentleman that he is, holds the door for #30 as he walks into the endzone.

3rd and short penalty extending the drive in the first place.... Ugh.

Finished watching the first half. Wilson was lined up as an ILB most of the half. It almost looked like the Cards were playing a 4-1-6 with the safeties up. There was no NT on most plays.

It didn't work very well. Hopefully it was because it was a new defense and the guys weren't used to it but Wilson, with the exception of the one blitz, was totally ineffective in the first half.

There were some other weird formations as well. It was almost like the Cards were experimenting with different alignments. Which is just fine in pre season.

Our secondary still is atrocious at tackling. I have to wonder why DRC gets fooled on play action since he doesn't want to tackle anybody. All our guys need a lesson in Geometry as they are always taking the wrong angle which leads to the arm tackling that drives us all crazy.

McFadden must be doing a good job because I don't think GB threw at him at all.

The D really fell apart once Campbell came out and Branch and Berry came in.

Most embarrassing moment of the first half? Dansby getting juked by Aaron Rodgers.
