The Cards pass for 432 yards and Newton is 3-12 for 19 yards but it doesn't matter as the NFL's traditionally horrible defense gives up 298 yards rushing.
Panthers beat CKW for the 5th straight time in regular season 34-21.
For those of you betting the over/under: The total points in the 4 openers under CKW have been 37, 36, 36, and 30. Of course those were all against NFC West teams.
I think the Cardinals will win 9 to 10 games this year...but I don't think one of those wins will be this game. Something about the opener with so many new players (and def. cord. in the first game with such a short time to prepare) and the Panthers who we just can't seem to beat in the regular season. Panthers 24 Cardinals 20
And I hope I'm wrong wrong wrong
Cards are going to be able to move the ball up and down the field, but the red-zone running game is not ready for primetime. Carolina has a few big runs and a s#$&load of 8 yard curls and outs. Beanie goes for 85 yds and a TD, Fitz gets 125 and 2 TDs.
Our rookie DC vs a rookie QB. This game scares the crap out of me.
We all know that Horton wants to mold his defense into Blitzona. However if our blitzes fail to get to Newton he might get lucky on a couple of big plays. Who knows how good Carolina's defense will be but our offense may sputter out of the gate initially.
Carolina comes in an shocks an over confident Arizona with a last minute big play.
This isn't even REMOTELY the same Panther team that we have struggled with in the past. New Coaching staff across the board, rookie QB that will struggle to complete anything beyond 5 yds & a very average OL. Their defense has potential, but is below average right now. The Cardinals are the best bet of the weekend.
