According to Mike Jureki the Cardinals may have signed multiple F.A. so far but have kept everything under wraps until 3 PM tomorrow when they can officially sign...

He mentioned by name Manny Lawson might have already agreed to and they may have agreements when someone like Stephan Tulloch or James Jones

If you believe it, its interesting...

IF that happens I eat crow.......hell, maybe two of them. Actually I may need to eat more than two cause I have been bashing the Cardinals all day long.

Very frustrated that, I thought & hope to be proven the fool, they were not taking advantage of the amount of talent, amount of money, and amount of roster room they have in this very short free agency period. I am usually OK with the Cardinals slow, take your time, get the right guy approach, but I felt that was a HUGE mistake this year. Couple that with the lack of players on the roster and you thought this organization was just packing it in. I mean, you never know with this organization.

James Jones and Larry Fitzgerald ? Holy Bleep.

Tulloch will start a SILB, and sure up that position.

Those two alone are very un-Cardinal like signings. They will be big money contracts, for big name talent.

Lawson would be a good try at bringing in a pass rush, but he hasn't done too much so far in the NFL. Still he is a pass rusher.

As I stated in another thread, the current WR's without Breaston would have been horrible near the bottom of the league with Fitz, IMO. You put Jones in there, and everyone slides down in the depth chart, and all of a sudden the core looks very good, with the potential to be great. Roberts is just not ready, Doucet cannot be relied upon, and the rest need more seasoning.

Tulloch ? The ILB core just needs a NFL quality starter at the SILB position, and Tulloch is more than quality he is one of the better ILB'ers out there. All of a sudden you have Tulloch and Washington starting, with Lenon as depth, and Quan in the wings learning the position.

Not to mention if all those signings get posted at 3pm tomorrow, it shuts up the people like me, and gets some good press out to the media/league.

Good signs I really hope it is all true.

as a guard, I assume? How did he do in Dallas? Anyone here watch him closely?

Big always was a guard, problem was our coaching staff was enamored by his size and wanted to force the issue as a tackle....he signed with Dallas as a guard....then went to Hawaii for the probowl........

So-so.

Not worth his contract, but solid.

He could play RG for us but I don't think he has the atheletic ability to play LG.

I might have missed it but I haven't seen anything from the Cards about a Jeff King signing...

He totally signed with us. And it is awesome.

The guy will start for us, and he can block. I have seen him do it, live in action.

He was actually really good in Dallas as a guard. At first. But his decline coincided with his salary bumps over the course of his contract. He was due $6 mil. and the 'Boys didn't want to pay it.

So, getting LD back at a reasonable price to play RG is an OK move then?

Ha! That would be holding. On a safety, no less.

Sure.

The guy can play the position. He is very powerful, but not too quick.

He would be no worse than Deuce Lutui that is for sure.

If Graves has Tulloch and Lawson signed, I will not bash him for at least 3 days :D and that will be harder than it sounds. Tulloch was my #1 target for the Cards. We still need some DL though. I just mentioned James Jones in the Breaston thread. If all this happens I may put a season long moratorium on myself of RG bashing.

Plus, I'm for trading DRC and a 3rd for Kolb.

People are talking about LD when we may have Tulloch, Lawson, and Jones . LD would be gravy.

Sounds like a bunch of bunk to me. Let's see what happens tomorrow. You've convinced yourselves that they've "secretly" signed a bunch of guys and I think that press conference is going to be a big disappointment.

Why would Jurecki lie? Of course, he may have some bad info. But I hope it's true. It would the Cards way to get us excited and pull the rug out from under us. Actually, not really. They are usually pretty straight forward when it comes to signings/negotiations.

His source is probably something off twitter or something from an agent trying to talk up his client's value. I'll wait until an announcement before I get excited that they've suddenly gone on a FA spree.

The Cardinals typically dont release info on deals until they are official. That being said Jurecki said we may have signed some of these guys. I would be extremely happy to have all of these guys signed although I highly doubt that we have agreed with every one of them. I would still be happy with one or two.

Is there any difference in the quality of football player as it relates to Breaston and Jones?

Just to be clear, he did not claim those were the guys signed, he said the Cards are being very tight lipped and he could confirm they have done stuff and agreed to terms with players behind doors that they waiting to annouce until tomorrow because of the rules...

During this segment he talked about Lawson maybe already having a deal (and if you follow somers on twitter you can connect those dots) and Tulloch/Jones as players he knows the Cards were interested and in talks with...

Who knows what we end up with but with 45 million to spend, you can bet we will be signing more than a few "known" names... and THAT is something to get excited about :D
