Banks looks alot more relaxed and in control than at anytime last season. And I am startint to believe the scoring record at the invitational was no fluke. If he keeps this up he will surely get some minutes of the bench.

Im neither watching nor listening to the game at the moment, but am getting a chubbie from just looking at everyone's comments!

Marks rocking the house?

Hill dominating everywhere?

Banks playing defense and shooting great?

Rookies getting playtime?

Just looking at the stats, it looks like Diaw is playing a point FC role.

I know it's only preseason but Stawberry's jumpers looks smooth at this point. I'm not going to say that's he's better than tucker but he look's more comfortable out on the court.

Great job by the bench hanging on to the lead and extending it back to double-digits. Just about everybody played well. Turnovers high all around, but that is to be expected. Nice edge on the boards. Marks finished with 13 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks before fouling out. Banks shot well. Hill 17/8, Marion 18/12/4 in limited minutes.

Just checked the score, Suns 110-99.

Looks like everyone had pretty good game. Did Nash not play much? It is showing he only scored 3 pts and took only 3 shots.

That's a pretty solid line by Marks... was Kerr right????

Did Douby and Martin have their way with the Suns? Sorry I didn't get to see or listen to the game. However, this shouldn't have happened in the limited minutes each played.

Douby played very well and KMart hit about 4-5 threes. Release is still as slow as ever and yet no one cares to get in his face!

Banks did well but ONLY when he was off the ball. So either DJ or Barbosa had to run the point. If it was Banks - everything stopped.

DJ played well although he had a few unforced errors. Tucker was lost on offense (I think I only saw one shot - but once Banks hit a few, he wasn't gonna pass to no one) but played well on the other end. The problem is that the Suns were running a lineup for a while where Diaw was the "height". Not a rebound to be found and that is when Sacto clawed back into the game. Marks came back in for a stretch and that was that.

The way Tucker is going to find any time is if he forgets about any offense and just hustles around on D. That will get him some time to get a little more familiar with the court and some offense will come. You can sense that DJ is MUCH more comfortable on the court than Tucker at this point.

What kind of errors did DJ commit? Did he play mostly point when he was in and for how long?
Banks as a 6'2" shooting guard does not inspire confidence. Maybe if he and Straw are on the court together they can swap defensive assignments and let each play to his offensive skills.

Yeah I think the oversized PG and undersized SG could balance out and be a non-issue on defense. And damn what a high intensity, defensive minded guard duo that could be in a few seasons.

He made some poor passes, one out of an easy layup. He played both positions, really, about 60/40 to shooting guard, or thereabouts.

I can't believe so many of you are jumping on the Marks bandwagon so early.

Once Stoudemire's back, you'll never hear from him again.

Gotta love preseason. Its the same story every year. All the speculation is about the guys who will never play (DJ, Tucker, Marks, Banks etc).

Well, last preseason Banks did not play well at all. And Marks did not really play much. In fact, I don't remember any of our non-rotation players doing well last preseason.

Obviously Marks would not get so much playing time with Stoudemire and Skinner in the lineup. But it would be nice to know that we can put him in there when need be. Whether we actually will utilize him, that remains to be seen.

Its not personal. Its the same on every board for every team.

People like to chat about the unknown guys the most.

nice glad the suns won their first preseason game without any injuries. It was also nice to see that Hill played a good game with 17 pts and around 8 boards also was really surprised by marks numbers looked like he had a decent game. CANT WAIT TILL THE SEASON STARTS FOR REAL GO SUNS

Marks remains a huge unknown, but at least he's making his buddy Steve Kerr look good.

Hitting that three pointer could be a sign of things to come. In his last season with the Spurs, Marks shot for 50% from mid range but did not have three point range. If he proves to be a three point shooter, he might fill some of the role that TT provided. Nobody can guard bigs on the arc when Amare is in the lineup, but hitting threes all but forces opponents to try.

Marks with two long-range jumpers already, and Hill already made a 3.

Edit: Banks on fire again but the Suns aren't playing any defense.
