The Suns can't miss. I think they're something like 8-11 from three so far. Strawberry hit one too.

Certainly can’t complain, they are really tearing it up right now. Our D sounds like it’s pretty good tonight. Boom Boom doesn’t have a lot of points but leads in assists and third in boards…. Needs to shoot more damn it!

I still can't believe DJ was the second to last pick in the draft. It's kinda funny that teams drool over 6'11"+ players with tons of athletic ability but no proven ability but they aren't as willing to take risks on smaller players with similar characteristics. DJ has been known as a lock-down defender for a while too.

The Suns decided to hold a shooting clinic instead of a game tonight.

LOL. The Suns cannot miss from 3. 12-17

The most impressive thing is the amount of players on this team that can shoot the three. Except for Skinner, everyone else on the team is given the green light to shoot it if open. Pretty amazing.

DJ, Barbosa, Hill, Marion, Nash and Bell have all made a 3 tonight.

Edit: LMAO Someone from the upperdeck, a woman, keeps yelling, "SEAAAAAAAANNNN MAAAAARKKKKKKKKS."

I wonder if Skinners knee is still bothering him a bit and D'Antoni doesn't want to risk it.

The Suns had a 35 point lead toward the end of the third quarter but the Jazz pushed it down to 24 or so before the Suns went on another run and pushed it back to 32.

That was a block party/shooting clinic the Suns just put on. 16/26 from 3 and 11 blocks. D'Antoni sure did play Diaw a lot of minutes tonight. He played 40 minutes and had 6 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.

Was this game on TV? Damn KJZZ in Utah showed it I guess, or else it's just NBA league pass or something.

Why didn't they play like this Saturday night? :)

Yeah, it was on KJZZ. I was able to watch it through one of those p2p programs. The size of the Jazz bothered the Suns for the first 6 minutes or so, but then the Suns really had their way with them after that. I thought the bench players playing with the starters played very well against the Utah starters.

PHOENIX (AP) -- Leandro Barbosa scored 28 points and Raja Bell added 24 as the Phoenix Suns beat the Utah Jazz 124-101 in a preseason game Monday night.
Six players scored in double figures for the Suns, who won for the second time in three games.
Shawn Marion had 16 points, Grant Hill scored 14 and Steve Nash added 12 points and seven assists for the Suns, who shot 61.5 percent from beyond the 3-point line.
Phoenix was again without Amare Stoudemire, who is recovering from offseason arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.

Carlos Boozer, making his first appearance after missing most of training camp while tending to his ill son, scored 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting in 13 minutes for the Jazz (2-2), while Paul Millsap had 16 points and Ronnie Brewer added 15.

Utah led by four points in the opening minutes but the Suns took the lead for good at 16-14 on a fastbreak layup by Barbosa with 3:37 to play in the first quarter.

Bell, who was 5-of-6 from the 3-point line and 8-of-10 from the field, scored 21 in an 11-minute span of the second and third quarters as Phoenix extended a seven-point lead to as many as 35. Millsap's dunk pulled the Jazz within 42-35 with 5:27 left in the first half, but Bell hit two 3-pointers and scored eight points to key a 16-6 run as Phoenix opened a 58-41 halftime lead.
Bell scored 13 points as the Suns opened the third quarter on a 22-9 run to take an 80-50 lead with 6:50 remaining in the third quarter.

Barbosa was 6 of 12 including 4 of 7 for three. After a couple of mediocre shooting games, that's not too bad.

Banks had a good stat line: 3 of 5 and 2 of 2 from the line, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals with just 1 turnover in 18 minutes.

Diaw had a very weird stat line: 6 points but 11 rebounds and 9 assists (he played 40 minutes).

Marks was 5 of 10 shooting with 5 rebounds in 28 minutes.

Strawberry's stats weren't much (just 2 of 7), but he did have 3 assists and may have helped in holding the Jazz to 40% shooting.

This team may have more depth than any Suns team since the early 90's. Let's hope.

Suns played well besides a ragged end to the game. DJ put Williams on his back with a hard foul - a no-no in preseason. Hope Deron isn't hurt - he was icing his wrist afterwards and didn't come back in. Looked like Marion came over and told him to be more careful.

I thought it was interesting that the first shots put up by Bell, Barbosa, Strawberry, Tucker, Frahm, and Nash were all threes - which were made!

I want to see them play so bad. Are they selling out preseason games again? The arena looks pretty full.

I'd take that bet. :p
I have at five rookies that could get ROY over Al Horford.

1) Acie Law
2) Kevin Durant
3) Tauren Green- word is he is impressing and is pretty close to replacing Sergio Rodriguez as the back up point guard.
4) Thaddeus Young
5) Joakim Noah

A backup pg isnt going to get ROY dude. Horford and Thorton will have bigger roles and better production than tauren green's 'pretty close to' backup status.

Young doesnt have much of a diverse game, he is just super athletic and dunks well.

Acie Law will really have to go above and beyond what the hawks desperately need to be considered, simply filling a much needed role with satisfactory results wont cut it.

Noah will need a lot of playing time and would have to add an offensive threat to his arsenal to be a top contender for the award.

Thorton is being hailed as brands replacement and is doing great in the preseason. Horford will get solid playing time and if he stays consistent should be a lock for the starting position. He was probably the most NBA ready player in the draft.

Horford
Durant
Conley Jr
Thorton
Noah

Current standings imo

Noah is already being throwing in with the starters, so I don't think that minutes are going to be for him. I don't think offense will be that much of problem for him.

Horford hasn't passed Zaza,Sheldon Williams, Marvin Williams, and Josh Smith (who does play forward at times) yet, until then i don't know where the minutes are going to come from for Horford.

Acie Law will do more than just put up "satisfactory results."

Suns shooting 1-8 from the three point line, Diaw is the only one that has made a three.
