If I were GM, he’d be my priority 1.
He was drafted here, homegrown, and he has stepped up.
professional teams keep guys just like this.
He didn't even have a qb hit in that 5 game stretch with no sacks. Cards going to be making some big decisions in off-season with all the free agents & last thing you what do is pay big money cause of a flash in pan performanceSure. But not for big money. He's nowhere near consistent enough.
7 of his 10 sacks come in 2 games. He has 3 in the other 13. Including a 5 game stretch without a sack after the Bye.
All his sacks have been on rookies, new starters and no names.
The 15m+ guys get sacks consistently and against top tier opponents.
That's not Reddick. Not right now.
Maybe if they hadn't spent 3 years messing him up.

Much depends on how Reddick finishes out these last few games. If the Cards let him walk and he signs a big deal somewhere else, do they still collect a comp pick (because we declined the 5th year option)?
I'd probably put the same three-year, $24 million deal in front of Reddick and Markus Golden and say the first one to sign gets it.

No.
I had forgotten about that. In that case, the transition tag is best applied to him. If Peterson signs a large deal somewhere else he would at least count towards our comp pick formula.
I do believe that is overpaying for Golden. I think I would cap his offer at 5 mil.
actually 5 does sound more right for Golden.
can you use the Franchise and Transition tags in the same year? If so, I wouldn’t be crushed if we transitioned Peterson and franchises Reddick or Vice versa.
next year SHOULD be the ALL IN third year to make a big run at the whole thing.
Nope. Can only use the transition tag if you don't use the franchise.
