Other than radio 1060, has there been any other reports about sending White to Toronto?

I could certainly see a three way deal where the Suns, Jazz, and Raptors get together since the Raptors could not get White without cap help.

Bottom line

Suns trade an expiring contract and pics for another expiring contract.

Awesome and we still have to worry about getting rid of White and Eisley FAST or else the Bobcats are in a position where they know that we are desperate to dump them.

So Atkins is going to Boston and Mike James to Detroit or something?

Great.

Detroit gets Rasheed and more capspace to sign Okur and we get nothing for 2 picks.

Alright so according to ESPN the Magic send Gordan Giricek to Utah for DeShawn Stevenson and then Utah sends us Keon Clark and Ben Handlogten for Tom Gugliotta and TWO first round picks?

What are they thinking?

Flabbergasting, what the hell is going on here? There better be some "greater" plan to all of this, that none of us is able to figure out. If this is just another move by Jerry to save some money, he should seriously consider selling one of his teams. He already blocked Artie Moreno from a takeover of the Diamondbacks. I would love to have the billionaire owner where money isn't an object.

Boston gets: Chucky Atkins, Lindsey Hunter and the Pistons first round pick this year.

Detroit gets: Rasheed Wallace and Mike James

Atlanta gets: Chris Mills, Zeljko Rebraca, Bob Sura and the Bucks first round pick owed to Detroit.

They save money with or without the pick.

Although I would assume 1 pick at least has to be included, since the Jazz save a lot let money than the suns will.

Yeah, it does seem odd. And there doesn't seem to be any kind of clarification about the pick issue.

That is just a very nice basketball team. That honestly may be a team that can compete with the Western powers for a championship. In fact I would say that both Indiana and Detroit could give a Western Conference champion a run for their money. Top to bottom the Western Conference is still much better than the Eastern conference, but things do seem to be evening out some.

Also add to that Campbell and Williamson...

They still move remove either Campbell's or Williamson's contract to really guarantee to afford Okur for next season.... Plus, Delfino figures into their long-term plans...

I wonder if now they can be the favorites in the East....

I was under the impression that our trade was not part of a three way--that the Jazz trades were seperate. I may be wrong though.

The only reason I can see that the Suns aren't saying anything is because they must be working on something else and don't want to tip their hand (probably regarding draft picks I guess).

This from sports network mentions the two picks.

The 6-foot-11 Clark was traded from Sacramento to Utah during the offseason. His first season in Utah, however, has been slowed by an ankle injury that has limited him to just two games. Handlogten is a rookie out of Central Michigan who has played sparingly in 17 games during the current campaign. He is also currently injured and will be out for the remainder of the season due to torn ligaments in his left knee.

The Jazz obtain the injury-plagued Gugliotta, who like Clark is in the final year of his current contract. The 34-year-old Gugliotta, a former All-Star, has been hampered by injuries the past few years, slowing down what was once a productive NBA career. He has played in 30 games this season, posting an average of just 2.3 points per contest.

Article Here

CBS SportsLine is also reporting that two first round picks were sent. At this point I don't know who to believe.

I tend to think the picks were sent because I cannot see Utah doing this deal without getting atleast 1 pick from us.

See this is why this trade looks stupid. I think it looks like almost an even trade without two first round picks!!!
