Life is very short. At 24 his was way to short. Football is a game. Win , lose, not nearly as important. We move on and hope his family can make it through the darkness.

I know how I feel about Taylor, and this latest news isn’t surprising in the least, not to me. Whether this incident is or isn’t random, Taylor grew up in a violent world, embraced it, claimed it, loved to run in it and refused to divorce himself from it. He ain’t the first and won’t be the last. We have no idea what happened, or if what we know now will be revised later. It’s sad, yes, but hardly surprising.

Oh, and apparently not accurate given the story above about ST trying to change his life because of his daughter, and ditching some of those old friends. It would be horrible if him trying to leave that stuff behind had anything to do with what happened.

The shooting happened in the pale yellow house Taylor bought two years ago. In last week's break-in, police said someone pried open a front window, rifled through drawers and left a kitchen knife on a bed.

Kitchen knife was left during the first robbery last week.

He kept a machete bedside, since he couldnt posses a firearm.

Wikipedia reports that during the second robbery attempt, the phone lines were cut. The girlfriend had to use her cell phone to call 911.
