There are 1100 (360 ones) on ebay right now, going for around $300...

Oh, and those were the ones that people had pre-ordered. Seemed like those that had them in-hand were going for a little more.

edit: seem to be a little less right now ($250)...think I'm going to wait a few days to see what happens.

going for.

I only see them going between 179-225 for the most part.

I also saw a couple at Walmart tonight too.

There isn't a big demand at the moment. Post black friday, I hope people panic.

Again, I'll just take mine back if Tickle Me Elmo-style idiocy doesn't take hold.

I disagree...the opposite is needed right now, actually. If you are looking to buy, right now is the time. In a few weeks, I think the minimum to buy this will be $400. Right now you can get them around $200 or less. That is going to change...EA is saying that if you don't get this at launch, you won't get one until March or so.

I foresee a reverse of the x360 experience...this is going to be more like wii. There just isn't enough of this stuff..

If the market doesn't pump like I think it is going to (high demand, 0 supply) then I'll just return mine to C-Co.

I agree with this completely.

I have been playing the hell out of this game. My sister and brother in law came over this morning and are instantly hooked. They want to buy one of Linda's 2 Rock Bands right now, even though they don't even own a 360.

You only start out with about 7 or 8 songs that you can play initially. You have to unlock them in the solo/multiplayer story modes. I have unlocked about 8 or 9 of them so far. Xbox Marketplace has about 15 or so extra songs that you can purchase with MSFT points. I have a feeling that I will end up buying every one of them.

So far it's a great game. I mainly bought it because of the drums. But it's awesome how you can have a lead singer and a bassist on top of a guitarist.

Every night since I've got it everyone on my floor (in the dorm) comes and plays for like 3 hours...

Definitely worth the money.

FYI: On 6th street just West of Rural - drove past a huge semi turned into a Rock Band stage show. Looked like they were setting up to be there for the next few days.

I played about 20 songs on the guitar on Medium. I'm trying to unlock some of those medium songs.

That sounds awesome.

If you can, don't waste your time on medium, just go to the hard. With medium you can't unlock them all, so you just have to replay them again on hard eventually. It seems like I've been playing forever trying to unlock them.

Thanks for the advice. I like to play all the way through, and some of the medium songs are pretty hard. I'll eventually get there.

Guess what I am getting for X-Mas? I have to wait though. It's one of those wink wink gifts for X-mas from the wife but she is making me wait.:(

Oh well. Can't wait to rip that bad boy open. I think I am going to work on her though when I start my X-mas vacation to open up an "early" present.

Nah, my buddy here in SF borrowed it.

The band broke up around 12PM. ;)
Back home now? How did you like it? You totally have to either a) Talk Donald into keeping one, or b) The two of you (and your S.O.'s, if you want to) come over to Nick's & join CroxWithSox & tour with us a little. Damn game is TOO much fun...

You can purchase the drums separately for about $69.99 I think. The game costs $50 or $60, so for the extra $40 it is worth just keeping the MIC/guitar.

No comment about the turntables... I thought we could be partners.

Ah well, where's Mulli when you need him?
Where its at?

Yeah, I thought it was really fun, but glad I didnt shell out $179.

Not so sure about this whole "shortage" thing. Anthem Walmart had at least a half dozen for X360 last night.

What an awesome game! We had a friend over on Saturday, and our 3-piece went for about 7 hours straight!! We've even got a real nice tour-bus for our trouble! Only problem is the gals can't do better than easy on the drums so I don't get to play the bass as much as I'd like to. That and the drums are a lot of work! Got a pretty good workout. This game is a bargain at $180. :notworthy
