It won’t even reported until after they play us.Praying for Matt Stafford and Aaron Rodgers on the Covid 19 list...
Also effective immediately, the league and the NFLPA will institute changes in the return-to-play COVID-19 protocols that will make it easier for players who are vaccinated and asymptomatic to return to practice and games.
Under the previous protocols, a vaccinated individual who tests positive for COVID-19 has to produce two negative tests 24 hours apart before being cleared to return. The new protocols relax that requirement and could enable teams such as the Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Rams and Washington Football Team to get some players back for this weekend's games.
So what does relaxed mean just one negative test now?New NFL COVID rules allow faster player return
The NFL and the NFLPA have negotiated changes to the league's COVID-19 protocols, some of which are being put in place immediately and could help teams whose rosters have been decimated this week.www.espn.com
I'm so pissed about the last 4 days that I haven't even read it fully yet.So what does relaxed mean just one negative test now?
I don’t understand bakers tweet

So they aren’t testing vaccinated players when we clearly know breakthrough cases exist fairly regularly… seems like a really easy way to have big outbreaks to me…You guys arent kidding about these outbreaks.
Case Keenum tests positive for COVID-19
Browns quarterback Case Keenum is joining Baker Mayfield on the COVID-19 reserve list, leaving Nick Mullens in line to start Saturday against the Raiders.profootballtalk.nbcsports.comxc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
Wait what? We were told it vaccinated players are still getting tested just not as often? Is that wrong? So they aren’t testing vaccinated players when we clearly know breakthrough cases exist fairly regularly… seems like a really easy way to have big outbreaks to me…

I wish the NFL did contact tracing. Well, it would be almost impossible anyway.Sad thing is very rarely does a team just have one. So the big question is what news and who is following this one?
I thought they did don’t know where those wristbands and that’s how they determine contact or close contact and put other players on the list?I wish the NFL did contact tracing. Well, it would be almost impossible anyway.
I know health records are considered private, but I would love to see some sort of data on which of the confirmed cases are from unvaccinated.

I thought I saw a stat somewhere that says up to 15-20% of players aren't vaccinated. If they were the spreaders to the rest of the team is what I was pondering...The confirmed ones are almost all vaccinated because almost all of the players are vaccinated. Or do you mean the original case that spread? That is more likely to be unvaccinated but again when 95% of the team is vaccinated it's likely they are going to be the ones spreading too. 95% is like 2 unvaccinated players on the whole team.
Omicron has thrown a massive curve ball I suspect most of these cases are Omicron but it could be Delta and it's just all the guys from Thanksgiving.
But vaccinated spread pretty much the same unless something has changed? We shall see soon enough with Hudson because the cards are 100% and we had an outbreak earlier in the year as well.I thought I saw a stat somewhere that says up to 15-20% of players aren't vaccinated. They are probably better able to account for false positives now with no symptoms. That’s my guess. So what does relaxed mean just one negative test now?
read what Mayfield said in that twitter thread, something is awry.Wait what? We were told it vaccinated players are still getting tested just not as often? Is that wrong?
It looks like he deleted it too.
He said that vaccinated players are only required to test if they have symptoms, but for some reason the NFL randomly tested 3 teams, the Browns being one of them, and that's why they had 19 players test positive most of them are asymptomatic.
he also said if they're really worried about player safety they would postpone the games, and that with the Browns they practiced and then AFTER the practice they did the random test of everyone and I agree that makes no sense. Test before so if anybody is positive, they don't go to practice.
It's already thur it seems way too late but it would not stun me if the NFL has to push back some of this weekends games. They have to make a decision do we let asymptomatic players play, or not. And if Mayfield is correct it's completely unfair to randomly test 3 teams now, with this surge you gotta test everyone. The reason they're not is they're afraid of all the positives and then having to push back games
and they just NOW decided that was the case... as a rash of positive tests start coming back? Come on split... you know that doesn't pass the smell test. They are probably better able to account for false positives now with no symptoms. That’s my guess.
The English Premier League (soccer for those that don't know) is considering doing a 'fire break' where they pause the season for a short period in order to try to get Covid back under control. They have had to cancel like 10+ games already this week/weekend.
NFL should strongly consider the same, even if that means we have have a late Feb or even March SuperBowl.
And D-Hopand if it just so happens to mean Watt can come back healthy by the time playoffs start, so be it!
