Glad to see you have Doctor on your résumé :D

Nothing specific ever came out of Wells knee surgeries & cleanouts (numerous) or the severity of his injuries other he might have had a micro fracture surgery, which has ended several careers. In fact, with Beanie not being on a roster could mean his NFL career might be over given his history.

IMO none of us know whose injuries have been more severe, though RWs patella injury has ended careers also.

You're right of course. None of us know the specifics about these injuries and how a player and his body deal with them.
Which is really my point all along in this thread.
Anyway... I just want to try in the last word...

It's easy to tell when I'm making good points, because they are posted on this message board.

Once he's cleared healthy waive him before he get hurt again and sits another year on IR.

There is a logic to what you say.

I wish the Cardinals had not waived William Powell.

Are you just stating the obvious, or are you suggesting their is a correlation between the cardinals, 2nd round RB's and busts?

What about JJ Arrington?

4 years 654 yards 3.6 ypc. Specialized in nose dives. Out of the NFL once the Cards released him. You could argue he did ok as a kick returner but we're talking about Running Back.

For comparison, Johnny Johnson, a 7th round pick in 1990, in three years gained 2,326 yards and scored 15 TDs for Arizona.

I'm not suggesting. There is a correlation. I went back to 1960 and every Cardinal RB taken in the second round since then washed out. I've listed them on ASFN several times. Strange but true.

Technically JJ signed a 4 year deal worth $10 million with the Broncos after leaving the Cardinals. He got hurt while over there and never played, and then got cut.

Well at least BA won't have to make excuses for passing every down like Whisenhunt- is there any less than 32 in the NFL in rush attempts and yardage- full backs are all but gone its just a matter of time before sport center highlights make HB's extinct to- might as well watch arena ball.

He's still out there. It's not like the NFL is demanding his services.

William Powell failed his physical with who ever picked him up.

Thanks. This explains a lot. I'm thinking the Cardinals may need to start nosing around for another RB if Ryan Williams is not able to play. I have no faith in Alfonso Smith.
