A small item to add to DVL's point. I just listened to a clip from Warner on Total Access talking about how 'tough' it is to play on Thurs, travel across country, short prep time, etc, etc.

I appreciate what Kurt has done to help this team, but there is just some whiney/snivel tone to his remarks sometimes that also rub me the wrong way.

Dude, just suck it up. All of us work for a living. There are days we feel like crap and don't want to do it, but we do it without crying our butts off about how tough everything is.

JMHO

KW is a whiner. He whines when he's not named the starter and not getting a fair shot about starting which is exactly what he got. He whined in the past offseasons despite his numerous fumbles and INT for passes that should never have been thrown. I am annoyed with his holier than thou statements like he's the only one putting in the effort. He may be the most annoying Cards QB since Boomer. I am just getting real sick of his attitude. Dude everyone plays hard on this team.

I don't get all this. I'm sure Warner beats himself up over the TO's. Why does he have to do it in a public forum? Do you want your QB moping around saying that he cost them the game? Or do you want him,and the rest of the team, to move on after a loss? Why dwell on it, especially on a short week? It's just like a big win, you let it go and move on.He knows he made some mistakes. I'm sure there was no player that graded out at 100%. You win as a team and lose as a team, unless Rackers misses a clutch FG,then it's all on him :D.

It's not Warner hate. I wanted Leinart to start from day one. I don't think I've made that a secret. I still look forward to the day that he becomes the full time starter with no reservation. But I will give all the credit in the world to Kurt for what he has done this year and what he will continue to do the rest of this year. This franchise will owe their lives to him for decades to come.

Having said that I completely agree with those who are put off by some of his comments and overall smug whiney attitude that permeates from Kurt Warner. He has shown to be sort of in the Peyton Manning mold. Great QB, great teammate when they are winning, great at deflecting praise with the "awww schucks" persona, but still pretty quick to deflect blame and absolve himself when things don't go well.

I guess I just expected more from his comments. Dude, you are the freaking MVP of the whole league. Show some leadership to your teammates when things just might be stacked against you.

I was just getting this uneasy feeling about it all. I know Kurt didn't want to be away from his family for 2 weeks earlier in the season, probably doesn't want to be away from his family today either. Can't say I blame him about that. But, you signed on to be an NFL quarterback, it comes with the job.

I sincerely hope I am wrong and Kurt comes out on fire and tears the Eagles to shreds today. I will have a side dish of crow if it happens.

Maybe, but I can stand the whinning with the great way he treats his fans. Everyone I've talked to that have met him have mentioned that he is one of the nicest people they have ever met and he takes time for everybody. I'll take that with whinning in a heartbeat.

Also, do you also want the contract that I've heard Lienart has for 2011($14M)? That's the contract you might give a QB AFTER he takes your team to a Super Bowl championship and NOT BEFORE. :bang:
