cracking start that. I would have taken 2 points from the first two games against Bolton and Chelsea so we are already ahead of what i thought we might get to start us off.

going out to a BBQ now to get lashed up

have a great day chaps

Sorry all you Sunderland fans. :)

Arsenal scored 6 goals in the first game--and Man U could only get 1 goal on Birmingham City. The Gunners looked very, very good against Everton and one of the best keepers in the world. They're going to shock the world this year.

Go Gunners!

;)

Good opening weekend of the Prem and very happy with a win over the scousers! Atmosphere was good too. We gave Gerrard some stick over the bar incident.

Bent scored a good goal.

I'd imagine Gerrard is going to get the same sort of stick at most grounds, here's the 2 chants that were started up at the Lane on Sunday if you wanna start it up at the Stadium of Light when 'pool visit...

"You're suppose to be in jail, you're suppose to, you're suppose to, you're suppose to be in jail!".

"Self defence, you're having a laugh, self defence, you're having a laugh etc etc".

aaarg shame we couldnt hold on and get something against Chelsea but i have to say the way the played in the second half was one of the best i have seen at Sunderland for a long long time. Very good side.

on a plus point though, we moved season tickets this season and new seats are great.......yes i AM clinging to the only good thing from Tueday night :p

we were awful for the first 30 minutes but got level just at the right time. Two good goals from Kenny too.

if we drew 2-2 i dont think we could of complained but how often are we on the other end of that.

great result and good atmosphere at the SOL yesterday too.

Another great signing! Exciting times on Wearside!

I like him but cant help think we have paid over the odds (the fee can go up to £12 million), then again if thats what it costs for a decent player and we have the money.....why not

we have also managed to shift on Leadboots, Edwards, McShane, Collins and also Tiano have gone on loan for the seaosn to Birmingham. If the figures are right that i am reading now we have received about 10 million for the 4. very good business for a bunch of also rans

I was thinking the same thing. I can't wait for the match against Hull to see what our starting XI will be. We haven't fielded a team this strong in a long time.

Turner is a good player, but rising to 12m???

It's a shame about Tainio - how has he been injury wise? At Spurs his problem was that he is so injury prone. When fit he was fantastic for us. A real midfield dynamo who put 110% into every game he played - however he would just about get on form and then have an injury set back. So it was unsustainable to keep him in the first team on a regular basis.

We signed Kranjcar. I think it's a decent buy. He can be unbelievably good but can also be unbelievably poor. I'm not sure what his form has been like for Pompey recently - I'm hoping with better players around him and a new environment and back under HR's management, he can find some good form. We need him to step up straight away with us playing United next week and Modric having broken/fractured his leg.

Come on boys, lets make it 5 from 5 (or 6 from 6 in all competition). :D

in a word - Injured :mulli:

I agree with you, when he was fit he was a real star but couldnt string to games back to back. He has only gone on loan so maybe if he sorts himself out we still might have a player.

Nico was a good signing and Modric, the first broken leg i have seen someone walk off the pitch with.

seems like we tried to do a deal with spurs for Hutton with Anton going the other way but it couldnt get done in time.
