Looks like Poppins has made a few demands of the board before he takes the job (and so he should given the way it been run) but looks like some of the interested parties willing to buy the club might not want him!! looks as though the new owners will need to be in place before your manager gets confirmed. Sooner the better as fat mike will sell whatever he can to get a few quid back right now.

last time we went down Newcastle fans actually published a fanzine called lets all laugh at Sunderland to sell through the summer, so you are probably best off not even going down that route.

FC is a centre forward, was on loan second half of the season with spurs as part of the beratov deal, only scored 3 but dont think he played that much (also had a spell on loan at Hull a year ago and got 16 i think). ovbviously he was down the pecking order at man utd prior to that but seems like a quick young player.
Da Silva is a centre half, quite short at 5'10, but has 53 caps and is the captain for Paraguay so hoping he will has a bit of class.

Crouch! Really! Wow. Is he that god or just kinda hyped?

I personally think Crouch is over-rated. He doesn't perform on a consistent basis in the big games. He has scored a few for England, but hasn't shown much against any of the tougher teams. For a man his height he is terrible in the air.

Anyone else hear the rumor of Landon Donovan being of interest to Sunderland?
It was in a US Soccer rumor post but I haven't found any links about it though. He supposedly is open to a move to Europe especially since he split with his wife(an actress who lives/works in LA).

I did read somewhere that Fox where saying we had made a bid. I aint seen anything since but in terms of a move, i'm not sure he is what we need. Having siad that, ability wise, i think we have very similar players on our books...in terms of heart, i would take him over a lot of our first team.
