Until the Andrew Bynum-lead powerhouse Fakers can beat us in a 7-game series,
they'll continue to be owned by the SUNS when it's all said and done.

oh so true. if they want to beat us with a guy in his 2nd year, so be it. Let them give it their best shot. The last 2 years they've been sent home packing by the suns, so until that changes they have no room to talk. Bynum didn't win it for them last year....he was more or less a no-show if i remember correctly. Amare won't let Bynum do a whole lot of damage come playoff time...so no worries.

The lakers were smart to get rid of shaq when they did IMO. look at him now....20mil a year for 3 more years and he SUCKS. yeah he got one more ring (largely because of wade), but he is/was on the downswing. The lakers probably should have tried to get a better deal for him though. Maybe a pick or a combo-guard to pair with kobe.

Getting Odom and Caron Butler wasn't bad at all.

It was the subsequent deal to trade Butler for Brown that made it a bad trade.

It's Christmas in January as the Suns beat the Lakers :p :)

I just hope they're not too tired to beat the Timberwolves tomorrow.

In hindsight, it wasn't a bad deal.

Odom
Butler
Jordan Farmar

'Cept we moved Butler for Kwame...which has failed miserably (I had hope it would be a good move..I was waaaay wrong).

Let me put it this way, Bynum is the equivalent of Amare on our team but with far better defense. With him we are a very good WC team that went 26-11 with an extremely hard schedule. Without him we are a middling .500 team that barely scrapes the playoffs, the same team you faced the last two seasons.

So really if you guys think you want to face us with Bynum in the mix then I'm all for it. We've drubbed you twice with him and it will be more of the same when he gets back. You have no answer for teams with a true interior presence.

Hurrah!
A win in a game that Amare himself said is important to him ought to be good. It should kick him and the whole team in gear now for a nice winning streak.
That Nash postgame interview is why I'm soooo in love with him. sigh...
G'night everyone!

I wouldn't call losing by 7 points a drubbing.

nothing gonna change just kobe disappears in the games lmao

Bynum changes the complexion of the game the way Amare does for PHX. Without Amare PHX can't go inside and kick out. You have to play Amare honestly otherwise it's an easy lob for a dunk. Same goes for Bynum. It's a huge focal point of the offense and without it you saw how the Lakers struggled. It's why PHX owned us 2 seasons straight. Bynum is now the reason why the Laker can and will beat the Suns.

You are right about Bynum's being a difference maker, but you are wrong to assume the playoffs would go exactly the same way the regular season has. Just look back to the 05-06 season when the Suns absolutely worked the Lakers bad in the regular season only to come within a Tim Thomas three of getting bounced in the first round.

Without looking at the schedule I hope the last game between these teams is late in the year. That would be a better judge of where the teams are.

No, it's coming up soon. We'll be without Bynum again. :(
