The problem
Ugh, this is beginning to remind me of the old Cardinal board when a certain percentage of folks would try their hardest to blame everyone but the owner despite that person being the only constant during the ineptitude.
It’s only a matter of time before they trade for Dragic. I remember when Sarver nixed the Felton signing and brought in Dragic personally. Normally you want your owner to stay out of it but that decision worked out.
I could see this if Igor wants Dragic too. It’s only a matter of time before they trade for Dragic. I remember when Sarver nixed the Felton signing and brought in Dragic personally. Normally you want your owner to stay out of it but that decision worked out.

I am not sure I want Dragic, but that is beside the point.
Nah. We are trying to look at it objectively.Ugh, this is beginning to remind me of the old Cardinal board when a certain percentage of folks would try their hardest to blame everyone but the owner despite that person being the only constant during the ineptitude.
NBA is a business and it’s not only players but fans that have to put feelings aside.I could see this if Igor wants Dragic too.

For me, its not about feelings, its about his basketball effectiveness and what he does to our free agency options next summer.NBA is a business and it’s not only players but fans that have to put feelings aside.
If DeAndre Jordan can be embraced by Mavs fans after he spurned then embarrassingly the first time, then no reason we can’t do the same with Goran who was a big part of the last playoff run this team has had.
To be fair, none of his picks, with the obvious exception of Ennis, really looked like stinkers at the time. Hindsight is 20-20.
I was more frustrated with his trades. He never seemed to have a clear idea how to build a cohesive roster, and many of the trades and FA signings seemed to be rather random... simply for the sake of re-arranging the furniture, so to speak, instead of getting a better, more complete set of furniture.
I'm not sure why anyone would be excited about this firing. Is anyone really giving Sarver good odds of hiring a quality GM?
(Sorry to be so negative, but dang I'm sick of the entire world laughing at my team)
I want him for this season. The problem is that he is signed for two.
Well, after listening to the interview, I think Sarver did not like the Anderson trade, and no PG was the final straw.
I’m sorry, this isn’t directed at you, but . . .I think something precipitated the firing of McDonough so unexpectedly. I wonder how quickly a trade for a point guard happens. I keep waiting for the next shoe to fall.
Even if Dragic stays the 2nd year, there is no guarantee the Suns would sign anyone better in 2019. The Suns have not improved their perception.
When did Tyson want out?xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
Well, fair enough. I suppose they could try to make the 20/21 the year of cap space. It should be before any other major extensions come up. You think Dragic gets the Suns to the playoffs?
You are correct, I believe. I don't think a player has bashed Sarver outside of retired players like Barkley. No players who have played for the Suns have said anything negative about him though, not even Shaq when Barkley is going on an anti-Sarver rant and I think that's telling. Shaq is not one to bite his tongue. He has said that Phoenix was a paycheck for him since he's retired but hasn't bashed the organization. He said he wished he could have done more but he was an All-Star as a Sun after all and that should count for something. I think the only thing Shaq has said about Sarver is how Sarver encouraged him to talk title when he was acquired. That isn't a bad thing, IMO. Sarver was a clueless fan then and we all knew/know that. Shaq was a big deal still when we acquired him, he quickly became once he left but he wasn't awful here.
If Booker returns healthy, I think the Suns would have a definite chance of making the playoffs with Dragic. This town would be so excited. Dragic is like the prodigal son.
Maybe Sarver finally got tire of McD making him look bad--at least in Sarver's mind. Again, not trying to defend Sarver, just trying to get an accurate assessment of the situation.I forget who said it, probably Gambo, but I remember this point being made before. Supposedly players and former players speak very highly about Sarver.
