The Suns play at the Lakers tonight with a scheduled Arizona start time of 8:30 PM. It will be interesting to see how well Kobe plays in his second game back from injury. I suspect Kobe will play well against the Suns. See Paul Coro article at azcentral dated 12-10-13 for more information.

Suns (11-9) at Lakers (10-10) … 8:30 p.m. Phoenix tip time

C: Miles Plumlee … Pau Gasol

PF: Channing Frye … Jordan Hill

SF/SG: P.J. Tucker … Kobe Bryant

PG/SF: Goran Dragic … Wes Johnson

PG: Eric Bledsoe … Steve Blake

Key Lakers injuries: Steve Nash (nerve root irritation) and Jordan Farmar (torn hamstring) are out. Chris Kaman (back) is day-to-day. Pau Gasol (ankle) is probable.

Key Lakers reserves: Nick Young, Shawne Williams, Jodie Meeks, Xavier Henry, Robert Sacre.

As much as I dislike Kobe, I am glad to see that he is back from his injury and playing again. He makes watching the NBA much more interesting

LETS GO SUNS! I hate the Lakers and I hope they can grab a win on the road. Markieff Morris has been balling all year.

Dragic has taken his game to another level this year. The Lakers defense is awful

some of the finishes that Bledsoe is able to make at the rim just make you shake your head in disbelief

Suns are playing both the Lakers and the refs in this game... Amazing to see how Kobe and the Lakers receive such preferential treatment from the refs...
The team continues to play so damn hard! Too many turnovers, otherwise they would be winning this game in blow-out fashion...

Not sure what the lakers are trying to prove here with prolonging the inevitable.

Great win! Three in a row. Suns played tough. The Morris twins had another great game. Dragic and Bledsoe another strong night.
Not sure I like the attitude from Green... He seems like he could be becoming a bit of a malcontent...

I want the Morris twins back long term. Offer Markieff the same contract we gave Frye and offer Marcus a $5M/yr type deal.

I just realized today that their box score stats are good but they do a lot of good stuff on top of that which doesn't show up on the stat sheet.

Not sure if it was that, or because he was struggling tonight. I think he's really pressing which is causing him to make mistakes. He should just stop thinking about offense and focus on his defense. An open 3 will eventually find him.

I wasn't a D'antoni hater but, watching him tonight, I am really glad he is not standing on our sideline anymore.

Surprising that the Lakers have the best scoring bench in the NBA...D'Antoni used to hate playing the bench.

We're 21 games or so into the season. They have both been up and down this far - thankfully, more up than down as of late. Let's wait and see how they are performing come March/April.
But yea - thus far, it's been fun to see the lights going on in their heads... Particularly Markieff who was pretty bad his first two seasons...

The pleasant surprise for me is the continued improvement of Marcus Morris. He is agile enough to play both forward positions, especially PF in a small lineup.

Also Dragic and Bledsoe may turn out tho be the real deal paired in the backcourt. I have to give it to Sarver on this one, wanting Dragic instead of Felton when Blanks was around.

82Cards,

Yeah, it looks like 'Kieff has finally realized he's big and strong enough to bang with the big boys. (Even the lesser brother is gradually coming to that realization.) He can't cope with Cousins and his ilk... hasn't yet, I should say. His work against Pau in tonights game was another step in that direction. Earlier this year I was convinced that the twin's only long term contribution to the Suns was going to be earning a high draft pick next June. I still fear his lack of length is going to keep him from being the rebounder we need at PF, but I may be surprised there as well.

It just struck me tonight that if Okafor were to get healthy by January/February we'd be right in the thick of the playoff race. We might even make some noise. His D and rebounding are what the team needs to get the fast break going full throttle. Plumlee is doing fine but Frye and Markieff are covering C twenty minutes a game and, who knows, Horny might find a way to play Emeka and Miles together for short bits. Frye is playing well for Frye but he's still the weak link in the frontcourt.

I watched Goodwin when he was on the court and his defense was fairly good - he uses his speed well in dealing with screens, he gets back in front of his man as well as anyone and he is hard to get a shot over. He's kind of lost on offense but if they ran some plays for him that could change quickly - I think they ought run some alley-oops when his defender is laying off him in the corner.

Although this may be true, I don't think this is what the Suns want. IMO, the Suns want to build the team with younger players. Okafor would only be a stopgap. He will be 32 next September. Also I believe if he were able to play come January and February, the Suns would prefer to use him to acquire more assets.

It's amazing how coaching can change players. Everyone was ready to run both of these guys out of town last year.

Bledsoe can get the rim at will. I just hate it whens he's passive, he ends up making lazy passes, or stops his dribble to early, or gets himself caught in the air with no where to go. You guys notice he does that one-legged jump, gets caught up in the air, and throws a lazy/bad pass. Other than that the guy is dangerous in the open court and attacking the rim.
