The Suns play at the Mavericks tonight with a 6:30 p.m. Arizona start time.

This is from a Doug Haller article at azcentral dated 1-4-17.

Dallas update: The Mavericks (11-24) have won two of three, including Tuesday’s 113-105 win over Washington. They average 95.6 points, fewest in the league, and shoot 43.1 percent, which is better than only Memphis. One positive: They are among the NBA's best at taking care of the basketball, averaging 11.5 turnovers. Forward Harrison Barnes averages 20.6 points and 5.6 rebounds. Veteran point guard Deron Williams adds 13.9 points and 6.8 assists. Dallas has won four in a row over the Suns.

It looks like Brandon Knight will be available to play tonight.

Doug Haller ‏@DougHaller 37m37 minutes ago

Suns coach Earl Watson said backup PG Brandon Knight will be available to play tonight. Knight missed Tuesday's game with a wrist issue.

There go my trade thoughts... like the Suns were sitting him while a trade was in the making.

Don't give up hope, Mainstreet. It says he will be available to play, not that he will play. :)

I will keep saying to myself Tyler Ulis, Tyler Ulis until it works some magic. :D

I never thought Tyson Chandler would be receiving alley oop passes at his age (34) but he has proved me wrong. He comes to play on both ends of the court.

I wish the Suns had gone after Harrison Barnes in free agency. You make room for such a player.

The Suns are still trying to make Knight a PG playing him with Booker. I'd rather Ulis play with Knight if they insist on playing him.

The Suns are down at halftime 45-41.

At the moment the Suns are the 4th worst team in the league.

This has been a fairly ugly game. I think the Mavericks are one of the few times in the league whose future looks worse than the Suns.

Actually I enjoyed the game. Bledsoe was deadly down the stretch.

The Suns beat the Mavericks 102-95.

Games like this are hard since both the Mavs and Suns should finish at the bottom of the West together, a loss would be better for draft positioning but I can't fault the team for winning.

I turned it on for the start of the second half and was surprised that the game was watchable to the end. The Suns looked like a team for a change, as if there were actual strategic goals on both sides of the ball. Sure, the opposition was weak, but you have to start somewhere. Hopefully this game was indicative of a trend and not just a fluke.

I am so happy to see Booker finally getting into an efficient groove. Len continues to be solid.

Len has looked really good this year overall. He started to pick it up and play more consistently when he started in Chandler's absence but he's continued to play well even after he's been moved to the bench. I really hope the Suns aren't forced to overpay him this offseason but they should hang onto him. He's improved every year here and playing with Chandler has helped him a lot. He also won't turn 24 until this offseason so he still has some room to grow. He's a good rebounder, rim protector, and he's better than Chandler on the offensive end. He's also fairly quick for his size with a good first step so if he gets the ball in the right spot he can score inside easily against most opposing centers.

Loved the chase down block by Booker after he had it stolen.

So does losing to the dregs of league for that matter...
But at least that offers the potential of a greater payoff down the road. Winning gives us hopes of still not making the playoffs, still having a dreadful season, and losing draft slots. It's short term minimal gain at the expense of greater potential long term gain. One of the biggest blunders I see in business and people's personal lives daily.

This same, tired argument has been going on for years now. We can't win because we want a better draft pick! Well, what good has that done us? Really? People want us to lose all our games, but being a bad team hasn't really helped, has it? I mean, look at the 6ers, where are they going to be in 2 years? Fighting for the #1 pick AGAIN.

Len is a better player than Chandler right now overall. He is even catching up with rebounding. I am fine with him coming off the bench and learning. He is starting to get it. This is not an uncommon learning curve for a big man. I hope we stick with him and I hope we resign him.
