This same, tired argument has been going on for years now. We can't win because we want a better draft pick! Well, what good has that done us? Really? People want us to lose all our games, but being a bad team hasn't really helped, has it? I mean, look at the 6ers, where are they going to be in 2 years? Fighting for the #1 pick AGAIN.

This year is a great year to get a good pick. No more after this.

They strung Jenkins along, kept getting him to extend the date his deal is guaranteed just to cut him at the last minute.

Maybe it's just me... but, I honestly don't care who they beat. When they appear to be showing signs of cohesion, growth, development and togetherness - I'm more than happy to see it!
My thoughts exactly. I still want Bled...knight and Chandler gone for a mid superstar. Who I don't know

I am with you on Knight & Chandler... and had been there on Bled for the longest time. Bledoe's play this year has turned me around. And the thought of he and Booker in the backcourt, with young studs like Len, Warren and Chriss as their disposal, and a developing Bender... That to me is pretty exciting...

I think you are right in a way. However, I think Jenkins and/or agent likely accepted the situation so he could remain on an NBA roster as long as possible on the slight possibility he could stick.

I think the Suns will use the open roster slot for someone else so it's not likely a money thing because he was only making $1,050,961.

I agree with your thoughts, however, I will miss Chandler because he has delivered the goods. He is more than I expected.

I'd like to keep Bledsoe for now because there is no guarantee the Suns could bring in anyone better.

I like Chandler as well! He's been fantastic for us. But he's not in the long term plans and I believe we might be able use him in a trade to grab something pretty decent in return...

I would not object to trading Chandler but the Suns need to stay classy. He should be involved in any trade discussion and he should be sent him to a preferred destination. The Suns need to build a reputation of treating players well like they did under Jerry Colangelo especially if they want to attract quality free agents in the future.

Don't know what they promised him but he hardly ever played so I think/hope it did not surprise him.

That's way too optimistic, IMO.

Bledsoe is good, especially in scoring but he was/is an overrated defender, he has limited PG skills and obviously isn't leading anyone anywhere.

I would be open to trade him if the right offer comes.

Each of Len, Warren and Chriss is quite far away from a young stud and I'm not sure all 3 combined could net one.

Chriss is very athletic, skinny and makes a lof of mistakes. That's what he has shown this season. It is not surprising from a 19 year old rookie but isn't very encouraging either.

Warren is a unique, old-school scoring SF but I have a hard time to see more in him than a (very) good 6th man even for a contender team.

Len might be the closest to something special. He has all the tools to become a quite effective 2-way center. He averaged a solid 10/10/2 when starting, showing good athleticism and defensive awareness. Also talented on the offensive end just need some more experience/patience which shot should he take and which not.

Bender is years away from being years away.

All in all the Suns just started the true rebuilding last year and hasn't found yet their future cornerstones except maybe/probably Booker whose season/ineffectiveness BTW might be a slight disappointment as well although at least a heavy portion of it can be credited to Watson's/Corbin's stupid/non-existant offense.

I seem to recall that Chandler's preferred destination is Phoenix. I remember reading that McD asked him where he wanted to go and Chandler said he did not want to be traded. That said, I completely agree that the Suns should build a reputation of treating players well.

I think Chandler has enough gas in him to play several more years. Worse things could happen than Chandler remaining with the Suns. He is a good role model for the younger players. Perhaps he is looking for stability rather than going after another NBA championship. In any regard, we agree the Suns should strive to treat players better.

So winning the games against the heat and mavs means we are no longer "a bad team?" If we were capable of going .500 I'd be all for it. Repeating last season and getting an even worse draft pick in an even better draft? Stupidity.

So what do you want them to do? Throw games intentionally?
No, play the heck out of all our young guys and be happy with whatever draft pick it nets us. Thats what most of us have been clamoring for since the season started --- before that even.

I'd be happy with a top ten pick. Not sure the Suns can make a run unless Warren, Bled and Booker go on a tear.

That's not even remotely what is advocated. People here actually get upset when we win and advocate tanking, when just simply being bad hasn't netted us a slam dunk draft pick. How long do you keep doing the same thing until you realize it doesn't work?

I'm all for playing the young guys, but not because I want a better draft pick, because frankly, it doesn't mean all that much nowadays unless you have the #1.

I think this is what most Suns fans want although I can only speak for myself. However, I am not unhappy with the Suns starting Chandler over Len. IMO, Len has not earned it.

Ulis should get a lot more minutes if Knight is traded.

Because we choose to be bad in awful drafts.

Look at Philadelphia for example. They've been the worst team in the league for years and now have two of the hottest young prospects in the league in Embiid and Simmons. I would trade the entire Suns team and all the draft picks and assets Suns own to get two studs like that.
