Centers for the most part are garbage players and their value will continue to decline over the next decade as only a small select few will be dominant contributors to championship teams. Look around, read the rules it's obvious that a center to lead the Suns is not the future
And yet the fossil Shaq has the '05-06 Championship ring. Granted, not as the star, but a supporting player to the closest thing to Michael Jordan that we've seen yet. (Michael always had a true Center on the floor -- the Bulls used to have two or three on the roster.)

There are many more factors than that, but until we see that a Center-less team wins it all, it's still speculation.

Now that the Mavs have blown it to a stronger Eastern team, it will be up to the Suns next season to change the course. But they will still need a Center such as KT in the rotation.

Shaq is a once in a generation type player. The Mavs had three physical big men to deal with him and still got run over. Anyone who tries to deal with that way faces serious problems as long as Wade is around.

The Suns solution to Shaq is to run him off the floor. If the Suns are even close to full strength, big men like that become a defensive liability because they can't get back fast enough in transition.

The dilemna most teams will face is that their small guys can't stop Amare, but their big guys can't get back quick enough for their defense to get set.

NO! NO! AND NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Barbosa will be the 6th man of the year next year.

Why we would trade Barbosa for a player that will never play this year??????

Why do people want to ship everything we have to move up in a weak draft???????

There is no one at 13 that will help this year. I would rather have Barbosa and win a championship. If we win it all this year and Barbosa goes to another team at the end of the year then so be it!!!!!!!!!!WE WILL BE CHAMPS!!!!!!!!!!!! and not to mention, If we trade Barbosa, You can count on Nash playing a lot more min next year then he should be.

Barbosa is finished with the Suns he was demoted from point guard to shooting guard and was instantly the smallest 2 in the league.
