I hear Horry has signed a 10 day contract with the Spurs. They're bringing him in for "defense"

Gonna miss this one but I'm gonna try to be home to catch the last few minutes of the game. Will have it on DVR, but hopefully the game is favored in our way when I start watching the later parts of the game live.

Hopefully we don't choke in the 4th QTR like we do against every other elite team...

Go Suns!

This just makes no sense. First off, we have beaten some fairly good teams. Secondly, we are struggling to break into the bottom of the playoff barrel so how in the world could it be called a "choke" if we're playing an "elite team"?

We're still primarily an offensive team and yet we don't have a go to scorer and we don't have a guy that can draw a shooting foul in the critical moments. We are ill prepared to fight on equal ground as the game comes to a close. It's not a choke, it's a byproduct of our lineup. We have Nash and a lot of solid players. Elite teams have a hell of a lot more than that.

i like lopez on duncan better, his length and height might give duncan some issues. it seems like duncan always has a good game against gortat. at least when we had amare, he was there to neutralize the spur's bigs offensively.

Are we going to have to give him nights off on back-to-back's as well as three-in-a-row games?

That is not the basis for another contract at the age of 38. It's three years now that Steve is dragging during crunch time.

I'd love to see him retire as a Phoenix Sun, but until he is gone . . . well, how many backup Point Guards have we gone through trying to run Nash's system? Telfair has been the only one who hasn't failed and it has taken him half a season to be mediocre.

Per KTAR... BOTH Nash and Hill were hurt and our "out"... whatever that means. No idea if they are "out" for the season?? :bang:

Nice easy win. Spurs had 13 players playing 11-24 minutes after having a great, sharp start for once. Sloppy play by the Spurs in the second half but that often happens in games like this. Still hope you make it to the POs.

so... THIS is what you guys are all excited for as we try to make the 8 seed? To have to watch this, or something similar vs. OKC for 4 straight games? Sounds like a hell of a lot of fun.

We're a bit of a longshot to make the playoffs, obviously, much moreso if Steve's injury lingers. The Spurs do a better job than most teams at maintaining their focus when the game appears out of reach early. We've always been at the other end of the spectrum when it comes to playing with a big lead.
