This is one of the worst trades in the history of the NBA. You don't trade one of the best PG's (and players) in the NBA for crap......pure crap. I don't even want to be a Suns fan anymore.

There is no doubt about it, this is the worst trade that I have ever seen. Unless they have some unbelievible plan to acquire McGrady or Kobe through this, this is a complete disaster. We acquire four overpaid players we don't need, and give up our best player, who the franchise should be building around. There has to be more to this story....

That's only if you believe that Marbury is a player to build around.

I'm going to miss Steph though...

The only players in the deal we would actually be keeping are Eisley and the kid in Europe. Both Dice and Ward expire next summer, along with Googs.

That's A LOT of money off our cap number though. A lot.

That's the silver lining in all this....

We will only have to keep Eisley (cringe) but will be able to go after a good free agent or two.

Quentin Richardson anyone? He'd look good in a Suns uni...

even if it clears a ton of cap space for next season, i don't like it. they'll have to spend a bunch of money just to get a player as good as they are trading. as a fan, i'd like to see teams stick with the players they've got for a few years.

i'm not for just going out and buying what a team needs.

The knicks will make the playoffs!

And 2 first round picks from the Knicks.

I would have preferred trading Marion but I guess this is not as bad as it looks right now.

Lets see what Barbosa,JJ and Marion will be able to do now.

It is definately time for Amare to be the man now.

The trade still requires NBA approval. The Suns will get the Knicks' first-round pick this year and a future conditional first-round pick.

I'm shocked.

WOW!!

I thought ESPN.com had been netjacked when I saw the trade headline...I guess the Suns are already calling it a season!! On the bright side, this clears up a whole bunch of cap space.

Man there either has to be a third team involved, or we plan on moving more people soon.

Because this trade ONLY helps us in cap flexability...

I am speechless right now, but I will step back and wait to see what else they do before I get too upset.

If that's true Suns' team pay-roll will be about 37 mil. next offseason which means not enough cap room for a max. FA.

The Knicks will make the play-off with Marbury so the pick is a mid 1st rounder.
Eisley's contract is the worst one in the trade.

Terrible, terrible trade.

We don't need more good, but not great players!!!!! The NBA has proven that the key to success is to have superstars, and role players to back them up. We gave up Marbury, a top two-three point guard, for a bunch of crap. There better be a Kobe at the end of this rainbow, or we got screwed.

With the two extra 1st rd. picks as well as the cap room, the SUns may have come out on top in the long run.

Kobe is nice, but don't you guys think it irrational that Colangelo would be interested in a man who is in the middle of a rape trial? No matter how good he was?

And why bring back a guy who turned his back on us and so far this year hasn't shown anything? And that PF will be supplanted to the bench when our regular PF gets back. How does that work?
