Hopefully it is Kurt Thomas instead of Eisley.

That way we could probably offer Kobe or something else a contract.

I am shocked at all of this optimism. The assumption is, that all of these young players, including the picks will actually turn out to be something, while the fact of the matter is, many don't. I would much rather have my money in a proven commodity, i.e. Marbury. On top of this, we will have a ridiculous amount of players to deal with, on top of a roster that already is full of pretty young players. The entire focus of the team is a mystery, and somebody better have a damn good plan here.

Lampe might be part of the trade as well.

If thats true the Suns have to waive some people I guess.

Can anyone confirm that McDyess, Googs, Ward would get us to 32M$ next season?
That would be 10M$ under the current cap which will probably increase.

Suns could be a player for a big name like Kobe or a Magloire and Richardson or something like that.

A point guards with scorer mentality….one of the best players in Europe this season with more than 25 points a game… A scoring machine who has had a break out season… a point guard with a scorers mentality who can also play as a SG…...Has shown so far this season that he can deliver at the highest level in Europe...This guy is only getting better….Has extremely developed his offense game… He's a winner - only 23 years of age but with huge European Experience. And lots with the Natioal Team. Next season he'll likely play for one of the biggest clubs in Europe or in the NBA..... Has good body frame size with nice athletic abilities and qreat quickness…. A Scorer and a shooter (improved his shooting stroke this season) good shot behind the arc but still inconsistent (most of his years so far 35- 40% from the 3 points)…He's very difficult to guard......Uses many skills on offense but his best weapon is his first quick first step…. Has very good ball handling ability…Excellent on drives (can dish the ball to an open player)… Has good court vision…Likes the ball in his hands in the clutch… Draws a lot of attention from opponents on defense. He draws almost 10 fouls a game… Has decimated his points average in Euroleague this season from 13.5 to more than 25 a game…Has one of Europe's quickest first steps. Has supurb body control…. Has quick hands (excellent ballhawk) but needs to improve his defensive game (more aggressive attitude)… His defensive game seems to be affected by his ability to score, more focus is needed defensively …. Excellent from the FT line…he is consistently improving... There is some doubt about his ability to play against aggressive guards especially in the NBA..... He must bulk up and be more aggressive in his floor game…. He is not a pure PG and sometimes forgets his PG duties…. Must become more consistent despite the fact that has greatly improved here during the last season….He has displayed great character this season with Partizan showing that he has "grown up" and ganed a lot of maturity..... Developed his game stepped up his mental approach.... A guy who shows up in money time – A clutch player in Europe, who can carry a team on his back. He's fearless and has that killer instinct.
 "SOUNDS" good... well see huh...

It's possible that they buy out Ward, but probably not likely. The season is almost half over and the cost to buy him out is pretty close to what they'll actually pay him to stay and play (if I'm remembering right). I believe the cost to buy him out was around 2.5 million and his contract was somewhere in the 5-6 million range. With the luxury tax probably not coming into affect after the season it doesn't make a lot of sense to buy him out when we have no quality PG anymore. This whole trade is crap.

Nobody is able to comprehend this?

WE CAN'T OFFER KOBE A CONTRACT BECAUSE OUR CAP ROOM PROBABLY WILL BE MUCH LOWER THAN THE MAX. SALARY.

My question is when Milos gets over here--do we wait until next summer, or try to get him over here now? I'm not sure on the rules of this.

What the hell has Marbury done to lead this team? Why is everybody so shocked? If he was at the same level as Kobe, Garnett, Kidd, Duncan trhen we wouldn't be having this conversation and PHX wouldn't be at the bottom of the Western Conference.

You guys act like Marbury is untradeable? We have flexibility, first rounders, and talent coming back in return.

SOMETHING NEEDED TO BE DONE. And, I've got news for you. Marbury is no Kevin Johnson. Marbury is no John Stockton. Or, Isiah Thomas. Or, Magic Johnson. Marbury is an offensive machine. That's it. He wasn't going to lead this team ANYWHERE.

I hated watching this team play.

Magloire is already extended by the Hornets.
Richardson is a RFA.

Vujanic's agent told the media this summer that Vujanic will stay in Europe for at least 2 more years.

Explain?

As of right now it looks like we would be 10M$ under the current maximum cap, at 32M$.

So in other words, he's worth absolutely nothing.

Fine. As long as they move the ball around and play like a team, I don't give a you know what.

This team wasn't going to make the playoffs, anyway. Or, next year. The Western Conference was flying right past them.

It's obvious Amare is the rock this franchise will build around.

That would be 10M$ under the current cap which will probably increase.

Suns' team pay-roll right now is 34.8 mil.
Add a lottery pick (Suns' own) and a mid 1st (NYK's) which is together at least 3 mil.
That's 38 mil.
It seems to be unlikely that the cap will raise above 45 mil. which mean we will have about 7 mil. cap room.

So forget Kobe and T-Mac!

I wouldn't rule out that we package some of the picks to get rid off White or Eisley.

Too bad Colangelo traded Knight for White before!

Marbury is taleted as hell...

But I honestly liked Barbosa in there more at times.

Marbury did way too much dribbling, while the rest of the team stood and watched.

He also NEVER pushed the ball up the court to force fastbreaks.

This team is built with athletes that NEED to run. There leader is a halfcourt PG.

IMO you dont need a great PG to win. Give me GREAT BIGS and a PG who will push the ball on the fast break, drive to the basket and hit the open 3... IMO that is Barbosa.

I loved Marbury, but I really did think there were things about his game that hurt the team.

Actually the luxury tax probably will kick in after this season and probably won't after the season 2004/2005.

So they will buy-out Ward which probably saves for the Suns at least 4 mil.

im sick of this team changing their plan every 2 years. we are never gonna catch up with the rest of the west if we keep blowing up the core of talent we have. We now have no 2guard or point guard and we have marion at three and amare at four when he gets back and no real center. Way to go Bryan Colangelo you freakin moron. You should be fired unless we get a big name from another team out of this deal. Enjoy the unemployment line bryan because you should be standing there with Frank Johnson by the end of the week.

I'm calculating 33 million.

Current cap : $55,876,833

minus Marbury & Hardaway $29,250,000

plus Eisley $6,375,000

equals: 33,001,833

Is there a contract I'm leaving out. How are you getting 34.8 million?
