Looking at, and listening to, McDonough reminds me of what Cotton used to say about Jeff Hornacek.

I can't ever picture him standing up to Robert Sarver's cheapness. And yes, this was a cheap move.

When I bought my first Taylor guitar, it was on sale- something like 25% off, and I happened to have some gift cards, so I ended up getting an $1800 guitar for $1200 or so. That must have been a cheap move too. I should have paid the full price, I guess.

Some people cannot be happy unless they are complaining about something. You get a decent, young player for nothing, and people still complain. Good Lord!

Stef, you emphasized that he came cheap. 'Good move for the Suns. But I hope the primary consideration was that he fills a need. I am surprised you call that complaining.

The hair didn't seem that bad during the game but that video of him up close is awful.

I wonder how long it will take before most fans give up in terms of being bothered by the hair. He said he might change it soon, so will he change it before fans move past it?

Cheap. Not cheap in payroll. Cheap in trade cost. Only a second round pick. Of course he was brought in to meet a need. Indications are that they were considering drafting him in 2014. They have still been scouting him since he has been in the league.

He is a traditional pass first of who is very efficient getting to the rim.

I prefer (it’s a relative term) the sun visor do which he sports now to that forward pony tail ... why anyone would project themselves like that is beyond me, and if I was gm I would probably have avoided trading for him on principle - no one should look that stupid...so yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re right.

Man, we go through Point Guards (sometimes three at a time), including the PGINO's -- Point Guards in name only (because they were too small or not good enough shooters to play or defend Shooting Guards).

I think you guys sound like a bunch of creepy old dads that don't like their daughter's new boyfriend because he needs a haircut.

He's a kid expressing his individuality. I never really paid any attention to his game before last night. It doesn't look to me like his hairdo effects his play at all. And I don't think his hair looks any stupider than Josh Jackson's. Even Devin Booker's eraser head looks silly to me but I like the individual expression. Reminds me of the 70s when everybody had crazy head and facial hair.

Ultimately though it wouldn’t have had a bearing on my decision if I was gm i decided but looking at all the nfl owners who won’t touch kaep you’d be crazy to think it wouldn’t offside an owner or two here or there.

Pretty good debut. If PHX can't get Young or Doncic I would re-sign him and draft a PG like Jevon Carter in Round 2.

I wonder if Randle could have been had for a second rounder or future first rounder. It would have been interesting to see if he, Booker, Jackson & Payton could have meshed for 26 games, just in case PHX doesn't fall within Ayton / Bagley range.

But now that Randle is starting I wonder if LA considers him, Ingram, Kouzma & Ball their core and maybe they now match offers for Randle?

Isaiah Thomas in his Cavs and Lakers debut looked like a completely different player. Guys that get traded want to prove right out of the gate that their team was wrong for getting rid of them.
