You can mark this down right now.

If we trade up to get Luck it will be the wrong move, not because it's a bad move, but because we made the move.

This franchise is cursed.

Whiz, my hero, the savior, has been routed by it and gone off the deep end, the curse itself was merely toying with us, playing cat and mouse and we're the mouse.

Less than two minutes to go in the SB and it put the sandwich down and said, now it's time to show you who's boss and two years later, look at us.

Impressive.

I hope Skelton kicks ass on Sunday and throws for 350 yards and 4 touchdowns. I would sure like to see how this team would react (especially the defense) with a real QB in there.

When are people going to stop throwin a s--- fit over what is said by Wiz and staff? I mean really when?

Lets make this clear: What he SAYS and what is actually GOING ON are two completely different things. How are people STILL getting stressed out about words out of his mouth?

You think Skeleton has his family come out and is as assured in that interview if Bartel was really going to start? I mean really.

Wiz doesn't want to play Skeleton this year. Now he has no choice. Not to mention this is EXACTLY aligned with the competition principle that has been stressed from day one. No one gets anything handed to him.

Dislike it or what but its consistent with whats been said since Skeleton was drafted and since Wiz came into the organization.

And smart organizations don't care what Joe Fan thinks of the process. Its the actions that matter anyway.

If Bartel starts then allow your head to explode Mitch. Until then its just talk.

And as usual....much ado about nothing.

Amen. The reactionary wailing after everything Whiz says these days is ridiculous. COACH SPEAK. If you don't know what it is, figure it out, and stop stressing over what a coach says in an interview.

or that could just give the Bidwills the ammo to pull the plug

The ammo will be 11 straight losses. If he is not canned at that point, he was set up by the front office and wasn't really allowed to get the people he needed to defend the Division title. We all have said he made this bed but the covers may have been pulled by the Bidwills and Graves and the HC has taken the brunt of the attacks. He certainly is a terrible X and O coach but if he was not allowed to get his guys then he is only part to blame for this Fiasco. That said why have your rookie Qb who you traded up to get having to be told he will be battling it out with a nobody. Just shows that these coaches aren't NFL quality.

The team is 3-9 on their way to 3-13 and you are shocked people question the coach.

what

so its Bidwills fault? get a grip, They had Matt Leinart in place, whiz could have secured Deucew, Lyle and Breaston long term,

Whiz hand picked DA, Porter, Haggins, Faneca, Hadnot! look at their pay roll and production.

Kept Komar and Steophen Williams over Onrea Jones and others.

no no Whiz has the new 5 mill a year, personell and football operations contract, and He's over his head, He aint experimenting, He aint got a clue.

I agree except he's not a terrible X and O coach and the battling out thing is blown out of proportion

Then you are a blind Whiz homer( obvious ). He simply is not a good gameday coach on either side of the ball.

I haven't read through the entire thread, so I don't know what has been said, and what hasn't.

Whiz has shown signs of being a bit dictatorial and seemingly demonstrating his "power" over doing what is best for the team.

Examples:

-The Leinart case is one example, but that has been beat to death so I won't go into it.

-There is absolutely no reason Washington isn't starting other than Whiz pulling the "I make my rookies earn it" card. Was Washington awesome when he was in there? No, but Hayes has been worse. Absolutely terrible. Play Washington and let him grow with experience.

-Same situation with B-Rob. Why in the world is this guy starting? He brings nothing to the table at NT. Can Watson really be any worse?

-Not bringing in any good coordinators also bothers me. Does he feel challenged when other competent coaches are on his staff? Who knows. But him not having an offensive coordinator, and insisting on calling plays, is a rarity around the league for a reason. He can't spend time focusing on the details of the team and game while calling plays. The attention to detail has obviously suffered this season.

I am not on the "FIRE WHIZ" bandwagon. The most telling thing will be to see how he responds this offseason. Will he bring in good offensive and defensive coordinators? Will he hand over the play calling duties?

I think the players like Whiz, and buy into his philosophies, but that fades quickly when your not winning games. He is at risk of losing this team if he doesn't make some serious changes.

Just my thoughts.

Show me an "in Whiz we trust" post in the last 5 weeks on this board. He is being criticized and openly by most of us for many things. Just not to the point where about 5 of you(whom I could all name) pull every little thing out and blow it out of complete proportion and just spew the "he should be fired line"

Oh pleazzzeee, there are a half dozen of you that defend "The Whizzer" in every negative post and then you add +1 or "THIS" or 5/5 as if your little effort makes the point so much more reinforceing. You go down with the sinking ship that is the Whiz birdgang if you want. I would rather find someone that can actually get it together and get NFL talent here and then coach them on gameday. Whis can't. He sucks at it. Edit....thanks for proving my point above...

Sorry if I like the coach who has made great wholesale changes for this franchise making us relevant for once. The positives FAR outweigh the negatives. You and the other haters just dont get it nor want to even consider this. Would you like Denny Green back? How about Dave McGinnis? And if you want Whis gone, who do you want as a replacement, because Gruden and Cowher arent calling their agents telling them to aggressively pursue the non-vacant Cards' position.

As for both sides of the ball. Whis is an OC by trade and having him call the plays does not bother me the least bit. If he wants to wear that hat, by all means go for it. For defense, he delegates the entire responsibility to the DC as most coaches do, i.e. Rex Ryan giving the OC reigns to B. Schottenheimer. I've been around many coaches who do this. The last team I worked with had the HC making all of the offensive calls and entrusted the entire defensive side of the ball to another coach.

****ing people need to realize that the offensive play calling is not the problem. It's the execution of the plays. When you have DA and a crappy o-line, there isnt much you can do. This recruiting does fall on Whis but in the past, he's done a good job at it, so I think for now he is absolved. The only laurel Ill extend is that if the losing becomes pathological next season, then the knob on the stove needs to be turned on.

In addition to which, people need to stop hanging on every word the man says. Ive never seen so many threads dedicated to press conferences, interviews and word of mouth speech. Attempted mind reading is only going to cause you further anxiety, paranoia and stress.

Ive been on Cards message boards (official site, ASFN, etc.) since 2003 and Ive never seen worse sophomoric analysis of the team and its personnel in my life. There is a good chance Whisenhunt will be here for at least two more years. Get over yourselves.

The quote was go down with the sinking ship that is the Whiz birdgang. Meaning his team that he put forth as a great chemistry experiment. I would have rather he just defend the damn Division title rather than this abortion of a season he created. Shuffles the Oline, signs has beens, cuts starting Qb a week before the season, coachs like crap on gameday. This guy really does it all. But hey, He is a hellava Golfer....JEEZ
