You hate to give them the free point, but they went from 9th to 4th in the west with that one victory. Almost literally no margin for error in the standings.

They're ahead of six teams with 24 points. Crazy.

Going to be like this all season. Pacific division has been like this for a few years now. Probably the toughest division in the NHL for a team to make the PO's.

Hopefully they can get Vrbata and Schlemko back and make a late season run again. They can use the offense.

At least we're not in Chicago's division. Holy crap.

I would hate to be in Tipp's practice today.

Great bounce back game by Smith, only giving up the one goal on a 5 on 3. Especially considering that he and the defense was horrific just two nights ago.

Can the Yotes avoid 5 straight road games without a goal (shootout or otherwise)?

Tune in tonight to find out....

It is just painful to watch this team. They fall again, this time 2-1 to the Nucks at home. The playoffs are not out of the question yet, but the hope seems to be fading - at least in me.

Well, i'm hoping they can get healthy and make a run over the last 10 games or so, but time is not on their side and the other PO teams are starting to pull away.

Barbs let in three softies, including his senseless turnover out in front of the open net. Not a good showing. I thought the rest of the team played hard and deserved a better outcome.

The offense came alive! Hope it decides to stick around for a while.

Well, based on the players traded, it looks like the Yotes might be throwing in the towel for the season and their tenure in AZ. Sure they were UFA's, but how many times when a franchise is sold that the roster salary has been scaled back.

They certainly will be sold, but that doesn't guarantee that they are gone from Glendale.

Great win last night over the Dead Things. The young guys were hungry. Was good to see and fun to watch.

As far as the roster changes, I don't think that the Yotes will miss those guys much. Sully is a solid veteran, and will be missed from that standpoint. But in total, not much offense, and certainly no defense, left the team.

Probably one of the best and wildest wins of the season. Those early and late DET PP goals were crazy. Good job by Johnson to step up when he found out only a couple of hours prior he'd be starting.

Well, they're finally looking like a team fighting for a playoff spot. Good time for Smith to return, so far he hasn't shown the same signs of rust that he has at other point this season.
