I don't think it's devastating to our defense either, just to his career potentially.

As long as we're playing, "Rate the white Nebraska guy's production vs his popularity," I'd summarize KVB as follows;
There's Grant Wistrom, and there's Jared Tomich. Somewhere in between is KVB.

Bo Outlaw is the hardest working guy on the Suns. I love his work ethic...and if he were a white guy...more people would appreciate it as well. It isn't fair or cool, but it is the reality. Think of how many people loved Joe Kleine.


Now it would be really silly to say that everyone's reason for liking him has something to do with him being white, but I would certainly say that it is a percentage...perhaps even a significant one.

There is a big difference between Casey(rookie bench player) and KVB(Starting DE). One can argue the marketability of one person vs. another but If I was a company and wanted to sell more product I would go with the most marketable piece. I am sure their agents had something to do with who gets to be on what commercial anyways. Plus you would not see Amare doing a cheap little car commercial.

You hope one of the other guys can step in.

KVB may start, but that is a testament to how crappy our defensive ends are...not to his ability.

The only effect his loss has...is that our crap stinks a bit more now.

You also haven't seen him healthy for a whole year to make a truly accurate judgement of his 16 game potential. This was his make or break year...now it is gone.

Mind you, I am not saying you are wrong necessarily, but I think losing a starter...any starter...hurts. If this team is heavily relying on Wakefield, put the women and children to bed. It's going to be a bumpy ride.

I get what your saying. Yes, we have upped our defensive line talent, but come on dude. KVB's production will be missed.

1. Lowers the depth of the line.

2. He is a player, THERE is no disputing that. He makes plays.

3. He is a veteran. He knows the system. Yes, the younger guys are very talented but it takes time for them to get used to the NFL. KVB was perfect. Of course we all knew his playing time would decrease as the season goes on. But the first part of the season he was going to be the man on the defensive line.


YOU DON'T THINK HIS PRODUCTION WILL BE MISSED ? Tell me that after the frist four games. AND if somebody goes down, then really try to tell me about it. Plus more importantly he now has 2 bad knees so that pretty much, barring some serious serious rehab, end his career. SO instead of having KVB and Pace we just got Pace.

It is a serious serious serious loss and there ain't no other way to look at.

BTW - I HOPE YOUR RIGHT! I mean KVB is gone and that is that. I hope that the rest of the defensive line steps up and makes it seem like KVB wasn't even needed. BUT THAT IS TOUGH!

And regardless he was a quality player, and he played his @ss off for Arizona. I give him much respect and hope this is not the end of his career.

If you watched the games last year you surely noticed that Wakefield got Zero pressure and the only sacks that he got were when KVB chased the QB to him. Not to mention that KVB got double teamed.

He never said that. IMO even if KVB was still healthy King would have beaten him out by the end of the year.

The sooner everyone admits that KVB was the best the Cardinals had...but what the Cardinals have is a steaming pile of caca DEs, the better everything will be.

KVB may have sucked...and he did suck....but his suckage level was infinitely less than Wakefield.

King might have potential, but he will need KVBs work ethic to realize it. Hope he does.
