I really hope that our HC is smarter than this if not it does not look good for the Cards in the future!

Like there are any better options on this roster. Maybe Coach Whiz can pull Jim Hart out of retirement.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

DA will personally lose us 6 games.

We are 6-10 if DA starts the entire season.

yup.

I plan to do a thread later explaining in detail why this is really the first move by Whiz that really bothers me.

DA has proven that he blows. He has proven to be a bad decision-maker and prone to turning the ball over.

Leinart has really proven nothing, other than the fact that he can manage the game. If the staff had no faith in him then they should have been upfront with it and actually pursued someone worth a damn in the offseason. To tell Matt and the world that you are content with him and then go about it all this way is weak IMO. i refuse to accept the notion that the team really found out anything new about Leinart's game this year, but if they did then then we are not nearly as well coached as I had once thought. This is a playoff team two years removed form the Super Bowl who's stars are all a year older. We are not in a position to rebuild. If Leinart wasn't enough that we should have went hard for McNabb or Bulger. If the Eagles were willing to give him up for a 2nd within their division, he could have been had by us for a 3rd at most. Since many of the geniuses on this board have already decided after 2 preseason games that Roberts is a bust than we basically would have gotten Donovan for free.

OK, end of my late-night rant that i'll likely regret in the am.

Two thumbs way the hell up.

Sorry Ken, I won the Kumite and get to start the thread.

Writing's on the wall, couldn't be more clear.

Let's go Derek Anderson...find the magic gloves of accuracy +1 and give us something to cheer for out there! Win us some games...throw that deep ball (to our guys please) and breathe before throwing the shorter stuff. I got your back...(safer than in front where you might throw a ball through my neck).

In all seriousness, I hope this guy finds his mojo and leads us to a ton of wins. Our schedule is very favorable.

How many game winning TD passes sailing 3 feet over the open receivers head will it take for you to get off the DA wagon? Throwing deep sure is exciting but you are kidding yourself to think you can just throw it deep because you can. Usually deep passes are set up with the underneath stuff along with some semblence of a running game.
Whatever Whiz decides is okay by me but everytime DA goes back to pass we will all be holding our collective breath waiting to see where it ends up.

This thread is hilarious. "Go Derek! Take us to the Super Bowl" LMFAO. It should be "Go Derek lead us to our fifth win." He sucks plain and simple. Beginning of the end for Whiz.

He does suck, but why wouldn't you root for him to take us to the superbowl?

My thoughts exactly. That is what this thread is about. If DA ends up being our QB then I'll pull for him to do well. You all know how I felt about the Dansby situation but now that he's gone I'm rooting for Lenon and Other Brother 100%.

I am not delusional. I don't think that Derek Anderson and Super Bowl should be mentioned in the same sentence without a follow-up psychological evaluation.

Leinart has proven he can manage a game? At least twice last year he came in with a big lead and failed to manage anything.

One of those games, I was sitting right next to DCR, I know he saw what I saw.

"Derek Anderson is not a Superbowl caliber quarterback"

Where's my intake form?

Whiz's plays at that point went something along the lines of run, run, run, punt. To judge a guy who doesn't get the snaps in practice on mop up duty is absurd. Aaron Rodgers looked like garbage mopping up for Favre too, as do most QBs in that situation.

When he came in against the Jags Fitz and Becht dropped passes and screwed us, not Leinart IMO. For some reason I am drawing a blank on the circumstances in the other game, but I do remember coming away thinking he sucked.

I agree with the first part, but Rodgers always looked good. He just seemed to break a bone in his body everytime he came in during his first few years.

No one is saying he is. In fact, we're ALL saying he sucks.

That doesn't mean we hope he doesn't take us there. I'll be damned if I'm going to hope for the best...and say that best is 5 games.

If this thread said: "Let go" Derek Anderson... I'd be all for it.

I'll root for DA is he's playing for the cards, but I don't agree with the move to elevate him over leinart if that indeed comes to pass. No how, no way.

This.

It's really amazing how much this controversy has gotten Cardinals fans behind Leinart. I don;t think you would have found this much support for him 3 weeks ago.

Funny, isn't it? It's like that Twilight movie thing ... who's in Camp what's his name and who's in camp the-other-guy?

Exactly. I'm terrified of DA, my first thought is "oh no, we suck again!" and my hopes are not high. But DA is wearing a Cards jersey, and I'm fully behind him, with delusions of DA becoming someone else. :claphat:

seriously. I mean, I know Anderson has stunk the last two years, but what Matt Leinart has ever done in our system to lead anyone to believe he can manage anything is beyond me. I mean, he was so bad in mop-up duty that we had to put our starter back in (when he was available, as he probably would have come back in the Rams game to if he hadn't been knocked the f out).

and anyone pointing to the Titans game as proof of "management" is sucking on the glass pipe. Managing 10 points is NOTHING to crow about.
