A tweet from Marc J. Spears:

the tweet makes sense. The Spurs didn't win last year so I don't think he'd be gravy training there, but if he truly wants his OWN team and be the leader of a young up and comer, the Suns are his play. A little riskier, but I feel like the reward for how he's looked at as a career will be much greater here winning a title.

that said, I AM NOT getting blue-balled again by Phoenix sports and refuse to believe this is going to happen!

It all makes sense but he's going to San Antonio.

What I'm wondering, can the Mavericks snag Aldridge as well? The Mavericks have been after both. Now the Mavericks have a center.

Defensively i don't see Aldridge and Dirk fitting well together if they're both starting.

No. I think Top 2 is PHX and SA. And then San Antonio gets him. We all cry in the car at the end.

I'm wishing it were over already. This waiting is driving me crazy.

This does not send off good vibrations unless Aldridge is favoring the Suns... and this is still not good.

I don't know, with Pop's personality, him having lunch w/ LA may actually work in our favor

If true that sucks for us.

Of course people forget last year when Miami was reportedly meeting with Lebron and it turned out it was Deng.

It had already been previously reported that the Spurs were getting a second meeting.

It makes it seem like they feeling pressured to close the deal and him going to the Spurs isn't the slam dunk everyone thought it was when FA started(or when they traded Splitter for nothing).

No matter what happens, I am still happy that the suns are going all in for a stand out player. He would fit into this organization perfectly and would be an az sports icon here in Phoenix. He wound just be another name player in SA. Hope LA can see the long term picture here opposed to the next year or 2 in SA

I agree. Have to give the Suns FO credit no matter how this plays out.

I read the Parsons and Cuban spent all morning on Jordan's hip and he ended up picking Dallas. Now we see Pop doing the same.... I wasn't all that hopeful before, but this isn't good. Let's just hope Aldridge isn't one to bend from pressure easy. Damn.... not good, not good.

I have been out of pocket for most of the day but anybody listen to the radio or anything today? Is there any talk of the Suns meeting with him again? The fact the Spurs appear to be in his ear without the Suns doing the same doesn't bode will for the Suns IMO.

Where are they eating lunch in LA where it's pitch black outside in the middle of the day? I feel like that reporter might have been hoodwinked into linking a picture totally out of context .

@Selzwood looks like Ime Udoka is with him.

@MichaelErlerSBN @Selzwood Ime and LA played together. LA really liked him. He once said Ime who drove him around in the snow in PDX

Note: Ime Udoka is Spurs asst coach.

Sources: Free agent LaMarcus Aldridge is working to narrow his list of choices to two or three teams today. No final decision is imminent.

This was the last significant information that has filtered out. I would think once his final 2-3 teams are selected those teams would have another chance to make their case.

I think today's visit with the Spurs has to be the last with them before making a decision.
