BTW. Did Amare grow? He came into the league at 6-9 but he is listed everywhere at 6-11.

Markieff is constantly listed at 6'10" He measured 6'7.75" w/o shoes and 6'9.25" in shoes. That's just how the NBA does it.

I would consider Bargnani. While he has been non-existent for a while. He played significant minutes for the Knicks down the stretch, including four 25 point games. He would be low risk and cheap. I think we could get him on a 1 year deal and then see how things work out for next year.

I'd take Jordon Hill or Bargnani if the price is right. It would put some pressure on Markieff to play well.

From Coro's pre free agency article. Available guys are in green.

The Suns are interested in returning power forward Brandan Wright, who is an unrestricted free agent with the shot-blocking, athleticism and maturity the team desires. Other potential free agent frontcourt fits could include Amir Johnson, Thaddeus Young, Brandon Bass, Ed Davis, Andrea Bargnani, Jonas Jerebko and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute.
The Suns also need a part-time backup point guard because they plan to keep Bledsoe or Knight at the point next season. Ish Smith played that role two seasons ago and is a free agent. Other options could include C.J. Watson, J.J. Barea, Ronnie Price and Euroleague point guards.

Those options are awful.

Amare would make me happy, any sort of resurrection from him could make a real difference. We could at least have hope.

Really I want to see them start TJ and Len and play Goodwin and Booker heavy minutes.

Else there is no point watching next season.

Ben Simmons would be a gift in the 2016 draft.

Are you looking to trade Tyson Chandler when eligible?

Sign Ish Smith and Bargnani on one year deals.

Another idea (from another board) is to trade Tucker to GS for David Lee and Looney. You get a young prospect (who I think could be really good), and a contributor whose deal is up next year.

And maybe keep Lee on the cheap after this season. Anyway, lots of ideas for the Suns to ponder. It will be interesting to see how McDonough attacks it.

The roster is improved. Chandler is a big addition, still a top-five center in my opinion. If Bledsoe and Knight stay healthy, we can see what they can do together. Some dead weight was cleaned out. Do the Suns have a trade exception, maybe from the Morris/Bullock dump.

He is not a PF, we need a PF.

He may be listed as a C but at 6'10 235 he is the perfect size for a PF. I would also consider Ed Davis who would team with TC to form a pretty good defensive front court.

I actually think PHX should jump on a deal for Lee as he would be a great consolation prize to LMA. Our training staff could help keep him healthy, he provides offense & rebounding and the best part is he is an expiring contract. Plus he would also provide experience & leadership to this team. Maybe a S&T for Kieff as I think he will definitely check out this season out of spite for PHX trading his brother and that could be toxic to this team.

Trade Kieff for Lee and sign Ed Davis for $7M a year (he's looking for $7M - $10M a year). So if Lee doesn't re-sign next year we still have Ed Davis. Sign a back up PG like Ish Smith, Jameer Nelson, Jeremy Lin for MLE money.

Roster:
Chandler/Len/Leuer
Lee/Davis
Warren/Tucker
Knight/Booker
Bledsoe/Goodwin/(Smith,Nelson,Lin)

1. Ed Davis has signed with Portland.

2. Ed Davis is also not a capable PF, he has no offense for a PF.

3. Kieff for Lee is just stupid beyond imagination.
a) we dont want to get worse
b) we dont want to get worse and older at the same time
c) we dont want to pay a lesser player more money

4. Jordan Hill is not a PF. You can't be a quality PF in this league if you have neither a consistent midrange jumper or post up game. Ed Davis and Jordan Hill lack both, they are centers.

Honestly, the best FA wing out there is Gerald Green. He is a good guy, a good locker room presence and he has been the deciding factor in alot of wins for us. I am all for bringing him back.

They should have it if they sequence it so that they sign Chandler first, then Knight and then consume the trade while staying over the cap.

He'd only steal minutes from Goodwin and Booker.

I don't think either of those guys are ready for all the minutes that will be available. They will still get lots of minutes even if Green is on the roster.

I would love to bring Bogdan in now.

Suns have a trade exception from the Dragic trade. 4.5M remaining after using part of it on the Leuer trade.

They may have an exception from the Detroit trade but I don't think anything can be completed and awarded until the moratorium period ends next week.

Did not know Davis signed with POR.

Jordan Hill can play both PF & C, he has a 12 - 15 jump shot but had does most of his damage around the basket because he is active and mobile enough to finish at the rim, but he has some post moves as well. Hill is a PF/C tweener but he can play both.

I have no idea what you are talking about David Lee is a better player than Morris. Lee is a 2 time All Star and has been one of the better PF's in the NBA the last few years. Granted Lee wasn't healthy and had a down year last year I would still take him over Kieff if he can get healthy. I will concede that maybe we can get Lee for Tucker and that may be better as we don't need to do GS any favors but I still feel PHX needs to trade away Markieff as his attitude will be detrimental to this team's chemistry as he is pissed that his brother was traded, I don't think he is going to get over it.

Also, Kieff is actually more expensive than Lee in the long run because Lee is making $15M this year and is a FA next year, but Kieff is making $8M for the next 4 years.

Pretty sure the Dragic exception had to be renounced to get capspace.

Exceptions count against the cap.

I've read at least two times where Coro talked about a Dragic trade exception. I'm only saying what I've read. I'm not sure how this works with the cap.

I hope we don't bring Green back. We must play Goodwin and perhaps give some minutes to Booker, so they get a chance to show what they've got. Better to have a veteran who accepts his role and limited minutes. Is Jimmy Jackson or Air Canada available?

I think the next move is the Suns make a push for Amare to sign a short-term contract. Coro has alluded to there being mutual interest.

I'd be OK with Amare. He is as terrible defensively as he's ever been, and he is still a poor rebounder, but after looking at his numbers with Dallas, he seems to be VERY efficient on offense.

What was the name of the big guy, very immature kid that played for Washington for a while until he had to go play oversees? He had skills, and he's got to be more mature by now!

Let the trainers work their magic. He can play 20 minutes a night and would push Morris to improve, or else risk losing his starting job.

Andray Blatche. He just re-signed with his Chinese team for 3 years.
