Dude there are differences in what you say. WORDS HAVE MEANING. If we as a society decide to just play fast and loose with what we are saying, or worse, when we are trying to state what OTHERS are saying (which is what you were doing) the conversation becomes disingenuous, leads to further argumentation verses intellectual exploration and expansion, and leads to confrontation rather than consensus-building and truth-finding. But if you’d rather just bicker, by all means play loose and free with peoples statements and positions and continue to put words in their mouths.

Yea i get that. Look im sure Slovenia is counting on him to be somewhere near that. And i put words in whos mouth exactly? I did not state that any poster here said it. It was part of the discussion.

But either way i retracted the statement. Im not afraid to be wrong. What more do you want? You can keep nit picking and critiquing all of my opinions like you have been. Feel free to continue doing that but you also need to keep what your talking about in perspective. This is basketball we are talking about here not life and death.

If someone believes Doncic will be magic than i respect their opinion. Isn't going to change anything. But at least believe it with conviction, not wuss footing around it because your afraid to be wrong. Or not post something because Ouchie might slam you for it.

Haha I certainly hope no one is refraining from posting due to fear of my slamming them.

I WANT differing opinions. It allows me to position my opinion on a broader base of information and perspectives.

Well then counting on Doncic to be magic johnson according to some people on this board is even worse.

I said no one on this board was counting on Doncic to be magic. You said someone did. No one did. Now you’re saying you never said anyone on this board said that. Just keeping it real.

Counting was not the word i should have used. Comparing. Yes its been done. There's a difference between calling someone out and talking about the board in general. Already taken it back twice now so i dont get your point

And now that i recall only reason i used counting is because op used it to describe Ayton. But W/e

Avery Johnson, who played with DRob and Duncan and coached against Ayton this year on Deandre Ayton.

"He is David Robinson with a jumper."

He said it, not me. Don't rip the messenger.

Man, if only he'd been able to post 13 and 4 in the semifinal game of his YMCA eighth-grade camp tournament, I'd be sold.

Danny ainge was at the asu Arizona game.

Tom chambers was on Doug and wolf last week, he said when he talked to ainge after the game he said "right handed david robinson"

If Ainge is interested the Suns better hold that pick tight.

See, you say that and there are a dozen other posts here that would disagree saying he'll be a SF who runs the offense a lot, like a point forward, and then another half dozen or so that agree and say he will be a PG. Everyone is split on what position he'll be and as he gets older and fills out, that will change even more. If he were 20 pounds lighter I'd say he stands a better chance of being a PG next year but his build is much larger than Lonzo Ball or Ben Simmons, who are big Point Guards. We'll see.
And if he's a Point (Small) Forward, where does that leave Jackson?

Isn't everyone's opinion that the Suns future will be built around Booker and Jackson?

Which is why we'll be getting rid of Warren unless he wants to be instant offense off the bench.

There is no room for Doncic on the Wing and he is not a Point Guard.

Even before considering him instead of Ayton. I don't want to see Doncic here even it is as a #2 pick.

And I like the point previously raised that if the Coach's boy is here, will that motivate Booker to go elsewhere?

I have yet to see one reason to obtain Doncic, let alone over Ayton.

All good.

Let’s progress back onto substantive topics.

BC. You are approaching it all wrong. It's all about what Ayton is, not what Doncic isn't.

Hearing that Gambo today said that because Towns was named to the 3rd All-NBA team, he would be due the $188m supermax, so the Wolves are now more open to trading him for the #1 pick.

Don't shoot the messenger.

Um, yeah, no thanks. He is good, but not THAT good. I'd rather have him than Ayton, but I would much rather have to pay Ayton's rookie salary than KAT at $37M per year.

There isn't a player in the NBA currently that I would give a super max to. Not even Durant or Davis.

Man I dont know...We have to extend Booker too. Poop said prior it's better to stagger the salaries instead of taking a massive hit on our cap and I tend to agree.

I'm happy getting Ayton. I vote no!

You cleared up everything Chap. This makes Ayton the obvious choice with this piece of news.

there hasn't been much talk of JJJ here but when i first reviewed the highlight tapes of the top draft prospects a few months ago i was most excited about him and Trae Young. any thoughts on the validity of this article?

Jaren Jackson Jr. is going to be the best big from the 2018 NBA Draft
https://www.sbnation.com/nba/2018/5...t-2018-profile-scouting-report-michigan-state

I haven't seriously considered JJJ because of his low amount of PT but on the basis of this write up & vid, I have to say he looks like a first rate defender and more of an offensive threat than Bamba. I'm not going to lobby for the Suns to take him but I'll be happy with either JJJ or Bamba if our brass decides to go that way.

Instead of Ayton?
