Not with 2:15 on the clock...Even if we score there....does anyone think here we wouldn't have let them march down the field? It is called clock management!!!! It is called take your time and throw a draw in there to keep their defense honest...Even Tampa had 6 players back on middle coverage hence the INT......Jesus we had 2 To's and the 2 min warning...why force the plays so fast and then abandon the run when we had an eternity of time????
You play to win the game...But you must use your head while doing it. Ask ND coach how many people think he is SMART?????

LOl You cant take away a run and then use it to make stats...ROFL....Take away CALIFORNIA and NEW YORK and the DEMOCRATS USUALLY LOSE THE ELECTION. Love how people add and subtract to make their own stats.

I wanted a TD, too, but surely a run there wouldn't hurt. Plus, that pick was out of the shotgun and the way DA stares down his reciever, thats a disaster waiting to happen.

Unfortunately, that was a play call and it counts so your stat, along with defending Whiz, is dubious at best.

We did try to run it. Hightower got 1 yard on the play. There was no running game. He had to throw to try and score. DA is well, DA.
My disappointment is that DA keeps trying to force to Fitz with 3 guys covering him....uuuggh

Yes but lets get the game to 38-38...and then lets see who makes first mistake...But we dont throw the ball....Tampa was making all the mistakes hence why we came back from 17 points....we gave them the game by acting like we are a good passing team.

agreed...It almost defies logic too...I mean why? And what is worse the coaches think it was the right call. Kelly said.."Hey get use to it..we are going for the win" uhh ok...so kicking a fg with the best kicker in ND history isnt going for the win.
WHen Kelly made that statement..."I wish a reporter would have said" Great...well we will be use to losing and asking you why you make dumb decisions.

No I wouldn't not after throwing 3 INT's already and 2 for pick 6's. ...and again I didnt say run 3 straight times! I said run some! Meaning run twice and then throw a safe pass.....like the previous TD.....Fitz screen.

This is the freaking NFL, which stands for NOT FOR LONG if you don't get basic game management down.
IT'S BASIC GAME MANAGEMENT that when you have a chance to tie, you don't screw that up, you go ahead and try to score, you can do many things there, BUT YOU DON'T THROW A PICK OR CALL A PLAY THAT HAS THAT HIGH OF A CHANCE OF ONE HAPPENING.
You just don't, not unless you're stupid.
Maybe Whiz made a safe call and DA just did that on his own, in that case bad on DA, but I think that was one of the options on that play, in which case the entire playcall was stupid.
Maybe a sideline route sure, maybe a screen, wouldn't do it personally but maybe, or a draw there, out of the gun, again I'd of just lined up and ran it once at least there on 1st down but I would not EVER let someone like DA throw the ball over the middle THERE in that situation, EVER.

I dont disagree on the 4th down call early in the game. Should have taken the points there.
As frar as the end of the game goes, you have to go with what is working (or in the Cards case, what is suckiing less) and thats the passing game.
Sorry, but you guys shd be pissed at DA or Hall, not Whiz.

1000% agree....I mean I wish these coaches and players got paid for winning and losing...Meaning you get paid based on stats and if you win or not.
Because if you have 50,000 guaranteed if you dont lose the ball but you could win 500,000. You play safe so you dont lose the 50,000 but you try to win the 500,00...But you do it smartly.

I won't argue with that...but you don't PASS THE BALL into triple coverage with the game on the line...correction, never PASS THE BALL into triple coverage

Who called the play? Nuff said. A turnover prone QB on 1st down...I take my chances on a fade on 3rd down. If not kick the FG. Your logic makes no sense. Again, the outcome is what it is, a game ending Int.

We averaged over 4 YPC, Beanie wasn't great but Hyphen was.
I agree you don't play for the FG at the end but you also have to consider the time on the clock. You want to score a TD with very little time on the clock for TB. So just abandoning the run there was bad.
DA is only effective when the defense doesn't know it's a pass.
