Different people took turns losing this one.

First the offense giving Tampa 14 points. Then the defense decided to take off for about a quarter and the Bucs get up by 17. The D wakes up and Breaston starts to make something happen and the play calling kills us.

A strange type of team loss. No one area played poorly the entire game but every area played poorly for different parts of the game.

Howd we get those first downs again? Our vaunted running game? No PASSING THE BALL!

That doesn't have a freaking thing to do with the situation. There's this thing called the back of the endzone. The Bucs had to defend 20 yards. The situation turned into a pick, enough said. Bad play calling, bad throw.

Who called the play? Nuff said. A turnover prone QB on 1st down...I take my chances on a fade on 3rd down. If not kick the FG. Your logic makes no sense. Again, the outcome is what it is, a game ending Int.

A draw play there gets us 5 yards..and then makes the Tampa def think what are we going to do.

Whiz lines up no RB's in the back field and Tampa plays Nickle defense then knowing we are throwing...Hence everyone was covered...Whiz knowing DA is a turnover machine...why put him in that situation.

Hell it is like you have a son who is an alcoholic. Why would you take him to a bar for his birthday??? Play the odds WHiz...or be fired...your choice.

This is the freaking NFL, which stands for NOT FOR LONG if you don't get basic game management down.

IT'S BASIC GAME MANAGEMENT that when you have a chance to tie, you don't screw that up, you go ahead and try to score, you can do many things there, BUT YOU DON'T THROW A PICK OR CALL A PLAY THAT HAS THAT HIGH OF A CHANCE OF ONE HAPPENING.

You just don't, not unless you're stupid.

The problem is that Whis has yet to figure out that he can't trust DA to make the smart play. He will make the stupid play the majority of the time, because the defense will bait him into it every time.

I must have missed Whiz suiting up to throw those two pick 6's. Max Hall is awful.

Your missing the point, when your QBs suck, you run the ball, not run shot gun on first down so the Defense knows your passing. They just blitz and cover fitz, and Hall or DA gives it away on Whizs play calling.

So Hyphen isn't a RB?

Come on Russ, your smarter than that. You know what I mean. The 30 yard run inflates the stats. But ok if you watched this game and thought that the running game was really clicking, then I'm wrong. I dont think you believe that though.

I didn't say it was clicking but we could run the ball against them. We had holes, some of them Beanie missed, but we were able to run the ball today.
That play worked because we throw the ball so much they expected a throw there(the Hyphen run).

The bigger thing is the clock, you want to score a TD, but you want to take the clock down.

And, ANderson with threat of run is a decent QB, in an empty backfield he's horrible.

I agree, but how do you blame whiz for that? Not you, but the board? Thats DA

Not really blaming Whiz, probably the play call for the last pic went something like this.

Anderson has ears covered to hear play call...

Whiz: Spread formation, Zout, double y cross, on 2.....ps, if it ain't there throw it in the stands!!

Anderson: huh? didn't catch the last part

3.1 and 3.1 equals 3rd and less than 4 which then you can pass out of and call a pass play with enough WR's in the pattern that you have a very good chance of completing it and if you don't you can still kick a FG and be tied, with very little time left and they will have exhausted their TO's.

In fact the correct way to play that series was to run, two minute warning, run TO then run again, then milk the clock and kick the FG and play for OT, if you win the toss you have a great chance of winning the game.

You don't throw a pick there, that ENDS the game.

Ok, agreed. But now what do you do when your RB's suck too?

Beanie falls down at the drop of a hat and the one running back that actually looks like he runs hard, fumbles too much.

I am not sure these RB's arent worse then our QB's....At least they havent proven anything either.

What I've gotten from this thread:

1)Stop throwing the ball so often because the QBs on our team are terrible and can't be trusted to not throw into triple coverage

2)We needed to run the ball cause if we scored too quick, TB would have just went down and scored against our defense

If these are your issues then I think it's time we accept this is not a good football team, and stop worrying so much about a few playcalls..Teams with the issues above don't win anything.. let's just face it

I didn't see the running game as really clicking, but I saw it has pretty effective. I watched it force the Bucs to roll safeties up and open up Breaston down the field.

No doubt. Whiz was an idiot today.
Just today who and the heck are you kidding. On the drive home on KTAR 92.3 he Blamed everyone but himself. Said that before he makes the decision on who would be next weeks QB he must see the film first. What an Egotistical bastage he is. He got his contract one year to early. Bring back Haley and Matt.

It's just basic time management, when you start to get into scoring position you start to take the clock into account. The Cards had 2 TO's and the 2 minute warning, so we didn't have to limit ourselves to just throwing the football. TB couldn't stop the clock.

You certainly want the TD but the absolute worst thing to do is put the game on DA's shoulders, everyone who's seen him play knew he'd screw up if given the chance.

I've made the above post on a Whiz coached game more than once, certain situations demand running the ball for pure clock management reasons.

As an OC that part of the game is when you pull out some running plays they have not seen that you have a strong inclination will work, don't tell me there aren't some in our playbook there are.

That's where you leverage Russ Grim and all that money you invest in him, and if not then why bother?

Wow did he really. He needs to look at the tapes??? If Max Hall starts another NFL game...the coach should be fired instantly.

DA starts the rest of the year and we run the ball more.

We had some holes, but not many.

But I will agree on DA in an empty backfield. Thats a disaster. But its kind of a veiled threat when the Runnig game is just bad.

McNabb is still not extended by Washington and not sure if he will be which means Wiz better go after McNabb and bring him in. I don't trust this guy to adequately judge college talent and draft a decent QB. I also don't trust him on his play calling ability so he better bring in an OC because his playcalling and offense blows, and it blows bad.

Whis needs to be committed if Hall starts again. There's no need to look at tape. It's going to show the same thing as last week's tape: Max Hall isn't a starting QB in this league. Right now, he isn't even a number two.

What will be almost as upsetting as the the loss itself is if Whiz doesn't take some blame. This is a poorly coached team.

You mean the saftey blanket reason we could cut Matt is and was never worthy of an NFL level job, save maybe a #3 developmental spot?

That would mean cutting Matt was stupid, idiotic, crazy, reckless, spiteful and just plain dumb IMO of course.
