I'm seizing this rare opportunity to agree with Sir. I will even add that Love is the best outlet passer in the game but I still would rather keep Len. I doubt we'd ever move Kieff to C because we'd have very little paint defense with him being consistently overmatched and Love not being a stalwart defender.

I don't think will get him, but the Kings have to be looking to get rid of DMC after throwing down Marcus Smart during the game. The dude is such a headache and doesn't get it.

He may be a headache but he's also the best C in the NBA. Oh and he's like barely 24 years old.

Suns need a dominant rebounder.
There are rebounders out there to be had:
Greg Monroe
Tristan Thompson
Kenneth Faried
Jordan Hill

Most wouldn't require much to bring in (Monroe,Thompson or Hill). Faried looked like a bad contract after signing a $50M extension at the beginning of the year but he is starting to come on strong and would require some significant pieces for DEN to deal him, however with his resurgence the last few weeks they may not be interested in moving him now.

I really think Hill would be the perfect (non-star) player for the Suns.

The more McD sits on his ass, the more value IT loses. We may end having to give up assets to get rid of his contract.

IT has been among the highest 4th quarter scorers in the league.

I would hope that there are teams whose 3 out of 4 best players are not Point Guards :) and could us IT and his instant offense, even as the smallest player on the court.

OKC used Ish in that capacity properly against us and beat us.

Do you really believe this crap you spew? Do you really think NBA gm's are that ignorant or have memories that short? Every GM in the NBA knows exactly what IT is and what he is capable of. The last thing you want to do is hurry a bad trade.

Larry Sanders with the Bucks has missed the last few games with the Bucks for a reported illness. He is out of their rotation. If there are no major red flags he might solidify the Suns front line as he can play both center and power forward.

The guy works in a red flag factory, shift manager I believe. I may still take him if they make it worth our while but the team that puts their hopes in Sanders is just tempting fate.

Actually, I do like him or what he can be. His antics worry me and they clearly are not history as he's still doing this stuff. If we got him cheaply I might take the gamble but building around him is scary.

He doesn't come cheaply unless you mean he could be had for like a first round pick and filler. He is under contract for 4 years at 44 million. I guess that would be reasonable for a big man if he came to play. The thing is, I don't know much about him.

Sanders the player would be a beautiful fit. Guy flies up and down the court, rebounds and he protects the rim as well as anyone in the league. But Steve is correct, the guy has more red flags than the October Revolution. Injuries, contract, cancer, shot selection, possibly insane.

It sounds like Michael Beasley except Sanders might be more worthy of the risk. If only the Suns could get something in return to lessen the gamble.

As much as I want to see a strong, big man in the middle, I am afraid that Sanders would end up the same as Beasley. We don't need another head case.

I say . . . pass. But don't stop looking.

How bad do you want it, maybe not bad enough. ;)

Let's try another name, DeMarcus Cousins. Would you take a gamble on him if he could be had in a trade?

I guess what I'm saying BC867, sometimes you have to roll the dice on a player, e.g., Zach Randolph. The Grizzlies traded Quentin Richardson to the Clippers for him.

This is a bit off topic, sorry about that. While I was fishing around in the rim protection stats I noticed that Pau Gasol is one of the leaders - which struck me because in our discussions about him he was frequently said to be a poor defender and generally washed up. So here he is playing 35 minutes a game for Chi, with FGAgainst of 46.1% and leading in shots challenged per game with 10.6. Better than his brother Marc and his teammate Noah on both stats. I forget who we ridiculed for insisting we ought to pursue signing him, bloated salary nonwithstanding.

I think it was more like most realized Pau Gasol would have only been a rental for the Suns and then move on.

But here's the thing, would he have done that for us? And something that often gets overlooked is that rim protection isn't just about the "rim protector". Look at New Orleans this year with Davis and Asik, one of the biggest concerns is how poorly they are protecting the rim. Gasol has decided to pursue basketball again, something he hasn't done since the Lakers last championship IMO. I doubt he would have done it in Phoenix, it would have cost us a couple of picks and his agent said he had no desire to play in Phoenix.

PLAYER.... HEIGHT....WEIGHT....YEAR......PPG....RPG

Cousins......6'11".........270......'13-'14......22.7...11.7
...........................................'14-'15......23.8...12.0

Sanders.....6'11".........235.......'13-'14.......7.7.....7.2
...........................................'14-'15.......7.3.....6.1

That answers that question. And, from what I've read, Cousins behavior with opponents and teammates is motivated by beating the opponent.

I would take either player if they have their head in the game. However, there is this on Cousins:
