Wish I could see this one, too. :(

He's looking good, and he seems to be enjoying himself. Lots of family in the stands having fun. He does NOT look like he could eat coal and poop diamonds.

6-1/3 innings, 2ERs, 3 hits, 5 walks, 5KOs.

Got the team in the 7th inning with a 1-run lead and looked like he was having fun to boot. It's do-able.

I guess Gracie said on the broadcast today, "the difference between Skaggs and Bauer is that Skaggs listens to his catcher"

Good for Gracie. Hopefully Bauer gets the hint.

This game will chew up and spit out anybody who thinks he doesn't need help to succeed playing it.

Sounds like a good start. Probably would have been a great one if he had had a little more control. Looking forward to seeing him pitch again.

I can't believe the roof was closed for both games today. Its our first nice day since when...the 4th of July? And the dome is closed? I tweeted at Derrick Hall why the roof was closed on a sub 100 degree day and he said "humidity", a tweet I believe later deleted, probably because he realized how ridiculous it was.

I had the day off today and spent most of it outside. I would've loved to have gone to both games. I live an easy 10 minute bike ride from the park, but there's no way I'm going to sit in a mostly empty stadium with the freakin' roof closed on such a nice day. Really disappointing.

I really wish Parker was still a Diamondback. Let's hope Towers doesn't make another dumb trade and deal Skaggs, Miley or Bauer.

Btw, the other board is reporting the Diamondbacks put Saunders on waivers.

I can see Derrick's point. I worked all day in a house with no power on. Even though I opened the windows and doors it was hot as hell in there. I was drenched with sweat. I had to go outside to cool off. It felt nice out there, but not in the house. Even with the roof open, the sides still block all the breeze. It would probably have been unbearable, even though it was nice "outside".

Open the panels and the roof during the game, crank the AC pregame, warm air rises, a lot of the cool air stays in the bowl.

Its not like opening the roof could've made the attendance any lower, I know for sure they would've sold 4 more tickets had it been open though.

In a related story to this thread, Skaggs pitched well and won the game.
