Let's not forget that we beat Seattle in Seattle in 2013 when they were at their absolute best without Tyrann. We do not need to panic. Our emotion should be focused on lifting up Tyrann as the heart of our team.

We also had Dansby, Dockett, Washington and Abraham. This D ain't close to that one.

But this O is LIGHT YEARS better.

A lot of what we need to accomplish can be done through controlling the clock. I hav to say that as frustrating as it can be for BA to wait to unleash rookies, waiting on DJ was an absolute godsend.

Agree. But this O is special and the Panthers D CAN be gotten over on as can the Hawks. I think we're in for some hair-pulling out shootouts but I'll take my chances with Bruce v. Rivera and Bruce plus HFA v. A very good, but not GREAT Seahawks team.

That said, our margin of error just went to zero. If we're gonna win this sucker, we're gonna have to play GREAT football moving forward.

And yet this D is top 8 across the board. He'll be missed on blitzes most. Coverage I think they'll be ok. What choice do they have?

No kidding, plus Todd Bowles scheming the D. If he was still the DC, I'd be feeling better about being able to scheme around missing a guy like Tyrann. I'm not as confident in Bettcher being able to do the same, and certainly not with what we have playing LB right now.

Will he make the start next season or start next season on IR?

No one knoww yet, not even the doctors. Swelling needs to go gown before surgery happen. Could be a full replacement and could be a repair, but we don't know.

He'll miss time at the start of the season. He'll be on the PUP team I guess, unless he goes full AP and comes back like a beast in 9 months. If it's only the ACL, as opposed to having multiple ligaments messed with, will recovery time be less than what we saw from him the last time he tore up is knee?

Man, this really hurts. I have avoided posting here today because of this. I know we can't replace him, but if there is any coach that can get the most out of his replacements, it's Arians.

I feel everyone's pain this sucks!

Realistically this makes it harder for us to win a Super Bowl but in NO WAY does this make it impossible just harder.

I'd also like to focus for a quick second on the contribution HB already made to this contending season. The Cards are 12-2. A record for the franchise, but also almost 75% of the way to the Super Bowl with only two losses. The team will have to step it up in his absence for sure, but he's helped get them pretty darn far.

I think they'll miss his tackling ability as much as coverage skills. The dude is a sure tackler.

HB would want us to believe in his teammates.

As I said in an earlier post....dial up this offense because we'll need to score a lot to keep the pressure off the defense.

This offense has been nearly unstoppable at times. Turn overs will remain huge and special teams will have to step up big once or twice.

That's what this team has been doing all year. We've won 12 games for god sakes. That's no accident!

We have the rest of today to "mourn". Tomorrow it's time to start thinking Packers and the #2 seed.

That's what Honey Badger would want.

It seems like it was destined last night. First the scare with DJ, then Carson who were both able to come back but we all that knot in our stomcachs. HB finally had the injury where our luck just ran out.

My main concern is that his team is there for him and can support him through this we all wish him back as soon as possible but more than that I wish him well as he deals with this.

Yep. The Football Gods had the Cards marked last night. After a couple narrow escapes, they finally got one.

makes me wonder with it going out with no contact, if it wasn't about to go anyway. With him it may always be just a matter of time before these things continue to happen. It could just be an eternal weakness in his body. If so, it will be a shame and extremely tough on him to know that every year or two this is going to repeat itself out of the blue as it did sunday. Maybe with surgery the docs can find a way to strengthen that area to where it won't be as likely to repeat itself.

What a gut punch. Last time HB was injured, the entire following season he wasn't the same. Took him two seasons to truly be back. SMH FML

It was a freak landing.

I wouldn't read anything into it other than once in a million times you can land in such a way as to freakishly hurt yourself.

looking at the play in slow motion it was just putting insane pressure on his knee and it let go. I think almost everyone's knee would of gone unless you're a freak of nature in that respect it's going to go given the goofy way he landed.

I wouldn't read anything into it and I don't think he should either it's just a freak accident that will be a blip to the honey badger before long he'll be out making other teams pay for this :)

I havent watched it since last night, but didnt his other foot hit his planted foot which twisted his knee? Freak thing. Really sucks for the guy. Going to miss his edge pressure too.
