And now is your (Cardinals fans) big chance to do the same this week in STL. Go snatch some Rams tix off e-bay or craigslist for 25 cents on the dollar and hop a flight to STL.

I live in STL, have 4 Arizona season tickets AND travel to the Cardinal away games within driving distance.

How's about some of you peeps coming STL way and getting the tradition of CARDINAL fans TRAVELING WELL started eh?

If Money is the issue, get upper deck tix.
Then there are no excuses.
It's not like the other big team sports that have 41 or 81 home games - there's only 8 - and they are sacred gatherings of America's most popular religion.

After 15 years of putting up with the irritation of 1000s of fans of other teams in our stadium I just can't get into doing it to someone else. That's probably foolish but so are a lot of things i do.

In most of those NFL cities ticket brokers/scalpers are illegal

It just depends on how you act. I don't plan on running around ******** insulting other fans.

Just because other team fans act like tools doesn't mean I have to.

I can show my team some love on the road though.

I'm sorry but I don't care what anyone says. When my wife wanted me to take her and the kids to Seaworld and I was offered $200 a ticket for a $50 ticket then you should know what the decision was going to be. I love my team just as much as any of you but I was not going to pass up a chance to be with my family nor pass up a 400% profit.

Cry your tears to the NFL who charges full price for half ass preseason games.

And you're the guy who is intolerant of anyone who dares to criticize the players you like, aren't you?

I'll do a search of your posts right now to verify that. If I'm wrong, I'll apologize and grovel.

You're entitled to do anything you wish with your tickets. We are also entitled to have opinions about it, since you so proudly announced what you did and boasted you don't care what anybody thinks.

My opinion is this: since you so value time spent with your family and don't want to miss an opportunity to save some money, why not just give up your tickets next year?

All the games will likely be sold out again and televised for FREE viewing. You'll save lots of money and you can bond even more with the missus and kids.

I'd say 25-30% Steeler fans, but I can tell you one thing, there won't be as many next time. They thought this was going to one big party with a jack stomping of the Cards topping it off. Instead they went creeping away with their tails between their legs.

I tailgated with four Steeler fans and only two of them showed up after the game. Every time we kick their a$$ we cut the opponents fans in half for the next game with that team.

As UPIG gets the reputation as a difficult place to win we will have to suffer less and less with opponents fans.

I think many Steeler fans were simply stunned and were overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and noise of the home town fans. They were used to dominating the Cardinals team and stadium and they found they couldn't do either on Sunday.

I saw many Steeler fans getting quieter and quieter as the noise got louder and louder, they were just overwhelmed.

IT FELT GOOD!

I was really obnoxiously loud and pumping up our section. There was a steeler fan three rows behind us that kept giving me the stinkeye as I turned around every play pointing at people and getting them riled up...he was talking a gang of crap.

As the game wore on, he was ignoring me more and more to the point where I started pointing at him and telling him to get up and make some noise yelling "you are getting drowned out!!" He left around 5 minutes left in the game. I laughed.

117 is coming around...we were on our feet the whole game...during pregame I was yelling at every cardinal fan to get their asses up and to get loud on every play. Some cards fans told me "save it for the game man!" and I said "my voice is ALREADY gone bro...but some people need to be reminded to bring it all game long..." They nodded, we all yelled. Result? 117 was rocking harder than I've seen them rock in two seasons....

I flipping love home Sundays.

Just saw on TV, doesn't look anywhere CLOSE to 75% Pittsburgh fans...looks at least 50%...

You guys just sank my ship. I thought most of the screaming and yelling was Cards fans. The stadium seem full and I thought at last we had an army of Cards fans. Guess I should have paid more attention to just who the fans were. The Cubs just played the Reds and the Marlins in their home stadiums and Cubs fans far out numbered the Reds and Marlins fans. At least our stadium was full and unless you watch closely on TV you might not know that half the fans were for Pittsburg.

Half the fans weren't for the Steelers. Maybe 1/3 of them...MAYBE. That's being generous.

i posted earlier -- 25% to 30% was the max for Steeler fans in attendance

I base this on the unscientific comparison of waving yellow towels during Steeler intros vs waving white towels during Cards intros

You guys kill me...when towels were waving for Defense and offense it looked almost identical yellow to white in the lower bowl and very close in the upper. Either way the amount of fans for the Steelers was very obnoxious and loud for 3 quarters. That can't be denied. It shouldn't be allowed in our stadium and we shouldn't tolerate sellouts that did it for the money. Don't come back if you sold out for a 300 % profit so the rest of us had to smell Steeler stank all game and hear there howls of "5 rings". I swear the Steeler fan in front of me smelled to high heaven. If you sold out you are a bandwagon fan....not a Diehard fan.....plain and simple. JUST DON"T DO IT!!!

I will deny it. The Steeler fans were NOT very loud. When towels were waving there were CLEARLY a ton more surrender towels than yellow towels. I was suprised to see it. The Steeler fan near me that laughed that we had towels said "damn, you guys have a lot of fans" because our surrender towels were far more plentiful than the yellow barf rags.

MAYBE there were more steeler fans in the upper deck because I don't look up there that much, but in the lowers, there was a clear, and sizeable, advantage of Cards fans.

You can keep saying this ridiculous garbage, but it just isn't true. And several people, not just me, have told you the same thing over and over again.

There were more Chief fans last year...more Cowboy fans last year...and more Bear fans last year. I was actually humored to see that the Steelers didn't have as big a contingent as those three teams did.

Where is your thread on the Chief fans yelling "home of the Chiefs" during the Anthem last year? If you want to bring righteous anger, bring it on that abomination because you have classless fans disrespecting both our stadium and our country in that. Just stop with this made-up argument that it was 50/50 steelers/cards fans there. It just isn't true, so STOP!

How do you know that the "Cards Fans" sold their tickets. I know at least two companies who have tickets in the stadium and they distribute them to employees of the company who request them. To assume that every person/business that buys Cardinals ticket is a message-board reading super fan, is crazy.

The woman who owns the consulting firm I work for also owns 4 seats. I think she makes it to 2 games a year and hands the rest out to clients.

Bull....you were either drunk or braindead or both if you couldn't see the amount of Steeler fans there. It is not a "made up" argument just because you and a handful of others say so. We have a couple of games a year like the ones you mentioned and the Steeler game was one of them so far this year. If it wasn't 50/50 it was close....and there were to many their regardless of the number. This happened because people soldout there season tickets. So deny all you want....there wouldn't be a thread with this much contribution if there were not way to many of the other teams fans in our New Stadium.

Excuse me, but you and maybe one or two others think it was 50/50 or close, while the vast majority of everyone else with eyes say it was more in the range of 25-35 percent Steeler fans. Maybe we are all drunk or braindead, or maybe you just can't admit when you are flat out wrong.

And the thread with this much contribution? Most of the contribution is, again, telling you that you are WRONG and are exaggerating.

Bottom line is...Steeler fans came...Steeler fans saw more Cards fans shout them down like they were little *******...Steeler fans and their team got their asses whooped. You are whiny about the crowd; I'm proud as hell of our HOME crowd for once again making a difference. I'm very happy to be on this side of the argument instead of yours.

(how's Josh McCown doing by the way? :D I miss our battles over him. :) )

I do not believe the vast majority of Diehards would sell there tickets. But the bandwagon fans that jumped on because of a new stadium and because we got Hollywood Matt jump ship and allow the tickets to go to whomever. If tickets are handed out by the Corporations then there is no control over those tickets so who gets them is anyones guess. If they are there because they live here but still root for there hometown team then I say stay home. Get on board with the hometown fan base. This has been the problem since this team moved here and one of the reasons they haven't sustained a season ticket base. I am just saying don't give the other teams fan an opportunity to show up in great numbers. They did against the Steelers. Had we lost even the ones that want to downplay the Steelers fans attendance would be howling.

Why the argument. Didn't everybody expect a huge Steeler's crowd?

The same can be said any time the Cowboys, Broncos, Packers, or Bears show up.

At least you can all be happy knowing that the remainder of the schedule won't draw too many opposing fans. The Panthers never draw much of a crowd (very small if I recall from three years ago). The Browns and Falcons too.

The Lions and 49ers will draw a few people, as will the Rams, but nothing compared to the "big four" of the last year and a half (Bears, Cowboys, Broncos, Steelers).
