If we're done at signing or drafting a high tackle, and we could fit it cap wise, I wouldn't mind have depth at tackle with whoever starts.
If they can keep Veldheer at $6.5mm, then he’s your starter and Smith is your backup / insurance policy who can play both T and G at $4mm. Then if Hump gets injured you can swing the Hulk to LT and Smith is your RT. I think it’s wise to keep both.
He’s not Coop$9m per year for a guard?

Veldheer was already cut, wasn't he?
Trade bait??Not officially I don't think. Just talk for now.
Doesn’t Cleveland need a LT now that Joe Thomas retired? Hmmm... Wonder if we’re keeping JV around to workout a trade for that #4 pick.
A lot of injury history on that starting lineup, but that's the modern NFL for you. Hope we have some injury protections in that contract if his back continues to be an issue.
All in all, not a horrible line, although my gut says Iupati is washed up at this point.

Trade bait??
I have a buddy that played with him at Ohio state and another in Washington. He’s a complete douche. Personality-wise, I don’t think Bidwill would ever consider him.I honestly hadn't bothered to take a look at anywhere he might go, assuming it was going to take a while to get interest, and it looks like he and the Browns are matching back up. Oh well.
To be honest, Jordan Matthews is leaps and bounds beyond what I thought we'd even bring in for a visit, that's why I'd zeroed in on Pryor.

Holy smokes that is a lot of coin.
If his back goes out that is a ton of dead cap. I don’t like this, too much to pay a guard, especially one with an injury history.
Actually our whole offensive line has a history of injury.
We better get a good rookie tackle.

+1Now get a stalwart at C in the draft! That’s what makes a good Oline great imo
I would say #1 instead of #4.
Veldheer is a top LT. You just don't let him leave & get nothing in return. He's definitely valuable as trade bait. You either keep him or trade him.
